McDaniels being this bad is still one of the more puzzling things this season. He's only played on a bad team outside of his short stint with the Sixers but he was at least about average efficiency and mediocre production. He just looks like a complete scrub when he's out there with us and can't even produce on this tank squad right now.

Masai liked him enough to give him 2 years fully guaranteed.

Just remember at one point he had a severely flawed but decent roster. And there was continuity. They looked very bad then.

Do you expect a rookie coach not to have issues?

Yeah he completely overhauled the system and they lost their starting point gaurd. its not like Nurse really did that much better, especially when you factor in he was heavily relying on his starters, 4 guys in the top 25 in mpg last year (2 in the top 5).

Let's be real, nobody thought this was a bad signing at the time. Most people thought it was a steal if anything.

Four guys at virtually 30 minutes each through 3 quarters, up 30.

I expect issues but i also look stuff holistically. Other than more ball movement i dont think this team showed anything. I expected the issues we saw at beginning of the year, the weird subs , poor timeout management etc. all acceptable

Damn... then the Knicks are in an amazing position man. Still unreal to say these words lol.

If they get healthy for the playoffs they can beat anyone but Boston, and will give the Celtics a series too. And then are in a good position to add a piece this summer

Shame on those who bailed on a 19/20 year old barely into his rookie year.

He was absolutely horrible to start but ya... anyone who thought this meant this is who he'll be forever look foolish now.

I'll be honest though, there is no way I thought he'd make this level of improvement within the same season.

I didn't either. I was fine with him getting minutes for the 905 and said his confidence was shook. For the 1st time in his bball life, he struggled doing the one thing he knows he is good at. Also said tgat him playing with better players is better for him...better open looks.

Failing to start the tear could be the best thing long term for him. He knows nothing is guaranteed and that he has to keep working his ass off to get where he wants. He won't take this offseason off like some rookies are prone to do.

And we forget, this was his 1st time not living in Kansas. New city...AND country. And let's be honest, he was in and around the city lots and also doing lots of commercials and promos. So he likely knows he can't go that route again.

Happy to see tge turnaround this year though because know he KNOWS he can play in the league so tgat self doubt is gone. And how good he becomes will depend on how hard he works. He certainly isn't just a shooter.

The Celtics are beatable. They shoot too many 3s and Muzzula is a horrible end of game coach. Guy doesn't believe in calling timeouts.
