If BC got extended and if he went and traded our pick sayyyyyy, for a player like Galinnari. What would you guys think of that?
I personally think we can get a very good player at top 5 pick better than Danillo. Just thinking out loud here.

Re: Official Raptors 2011 NBA Draft Thread, Part 6
.The idea of Lamb, a willowy 6-5 swingman from Norcross, Ga., leaving for the pros after one year at UConn is one that is just recently being discussed.
Lamb wasn't even averaging in double figures going into the Big East tournament, scoring 9.6 a game as UConn stood 21-9.
Since then, though, UConn is 10-0 and Lamb has become a fast-rising star. In the 10 games covering Big East tournament and NCAA tournament play, Lamb is averaging 15.6 points and shooting 55.2%.
In NCAA tournament play, it's 17.0 points and 59.3%
"I'm not paying any attention to that right now," Lamb said Sunday of speculation he would enter this year's NBA draft. "I'm in college at the NCAA tournament about to play for a national title … I'll think about that later."

If he declares, the Raptors should seriously try to get this kid with another pick.

I wouldn't mind a Lamb + Kemba draft, if we could somehow get another pick.

I think Lamb goes top 10-12 if he declares so it'll be difficult
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I'd use our first pick on him. He's Thabo with a jumper, he could play with any type of PG you want. He could play with Bayless, trade Demar. Two-way true SGs are a dying breed.

Not sure that Lamb's established himself as a defensive stopper quite yet:
Lamb's liability: He's listed at 185 pounds. He knows he needs to get stronger and improve defensively. "He couldn't guard a chair," UConn coach Jim Calhoun once said of him.

LOL some of you guys are a joke.
The second a kid has a decent game (ie/ Lamb) he's a lotto pick and we need to get him! Lmfao!
It's really embarassing...he's nowhere near lotto talent, he's not even as good as CDR was (remember where he was drafted?). Throughout this tourney everyone's been blabbing how Kemba has "no support" now he's gotta potential lotto pick playing next to him right? Lol What a mess this franchise would be if some the kids on here made any decisions. Just stop....please.

A few of us have been watching him closely for a number of games now.
It has nothing to do with "one good game". It has to do with what you see him do on the court.
The guy is 6'5", supposedly has a 7'4" wingspan (as per ESPN), can handle, is athletic, has a jumper, etc.
He has all the tools to be a good SG in the NBA.
He's the closest thing to Kerry Kittles (in terms of measurements) that I've seen since Kerry Kittles. Lamb's wingspan is actually 4" wider than Kittles (if SI is correct).

Hey, anybody's available for the right price. To clarify, I did say OUR first pick, #4 or #5. 100%.

Lamb could get drafted at the end of the 1st if he comes back next year and has a good year. He should definitely stay this year.

Re: Official Raptors 2011 NBA Draft Thread, Part 6
So now that the NCAA tourney is over, the board for me looks like:
1. Irving
2. Williams
3. Kanter
4. Valanciunas
5. Walker
The number(s) 3-5 could be arranged in any order as far as I'm concerned.
EDIT: This assumes Barnes and Sullinger are not in this year's draft.

Re: Official Raptors 2011 NBA Draft Thread, Part 6
I just checked the measurement history on DX. Nobody around the 6'5" range has anything close to a 7'4" wingspan.
Lebron James wingspan is almost 4" shorter than Lamb's.
That's crazy.

Mine is pretty close to the same, but I might put Terrence Jones ahead of Walker.
A lot of this is going to change after the pre-draft workouts though.

Funny that no analysts support this hype you feel.
Lamb would be lucky to be a 11th man on the TWolves.
I really wish there were a sticky for all the ridiculous Rap fans put on supposed "potential". This is considered a weak draft yet this kid is NOWHERE on the radar. Its like Rap fans watch 3-4 games and suddenly they have NBA scout level ability to see hidden talent lol there is REASON everyone has been saying ALL year how Kemba is an one man show, now with your (amongst other rap fans) acute eyes...it turns out there was an even better version of Thabo there just only you guys picked up on it....well done! Lol come on. I'm trying not to be a jerk about it but you guys are really too much...I can't imagine which other unsung "lotto pick" would of suddenly been discovered at another major school if he had helped his team win....just terrible.

What's with the sudden infatuation with Lamb? I guess like usual the tournament does wonders for certain players.
His defense is average at best, and I would go as far to say that it's below average. I have no idea why some of you are comparing him to an elite defender like Thabo. The kid is rail thin and would get pushed around by the stronger 2 guards in the NBA. Let alone the undersized jitterbug shooting guards that would blow by him everytime, Since when did he become such a defensive force??? Demar would demolish him in my opinon, with his combo of strength, skill, and athletism.
He might have long arms, but I'm having a tough time believing that he has a 7-foot-4 wingspan.
