Pluses:
He shot 60% on 2pt FG's this year. That's incredible. As is his 7 foot wingspan. I would have taken him top 5 last year. I'm actually a little disappointed in his sophomore year, as efficient as he was. His PG's did not pass the ball much, though.

Minuses:
The big concern is that he doesn't get to the line and didn't post big assists or rebounding numbers. So, he's mostly a perimeter guy. More of a Rudy Gay or Kevin Martin type rather than a guy who can be the main ball handler like a Dwyane Wade or Brandon Roy.

Overall:
He does have Roy's calm, intuitive approach to the game. Most sites have him going between 7th and 13th. I think his range should be more like 3rd to 8th.
Where's the D?

I wouldn't be worried about that. Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatwright were friggin' ball hogs on UConn.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I agree that Lamb is going to be impressive in workouts. good chance he's gone by the chance we select. if he's there, it's a no brainer unless we win a top 3 pick.

Almost every single year a NON bottom 3 team ends up around the top of the draft.

We're picking 8th at best.

very rarely do teams outside of the top 8 move up. In fact, the only teams to have done it are Charlotte (3rd in 1999), and Chicago (won the lottery in 2008). So yes, while the order might change after the lottery, it's highly unlikely to impact us if we're sitting at 8th (unless if we move up ourselves). It would likely just shuffle the order of the teams that were picking ahead of us anyways. If my math is correct, there's only a 6.5% chance that we would move down after the lottery, so we'd actually have a higher chance of moving into the top 3.

The only thing I can see the Raps being pessimistic about drafting Lamb is he's a tooth pick
and the team is already concerned about Davis, DeRozan, and Valanciunas being twigs.

Other then that he should be a slam dunk pick if hes still on the board

We pick 8th or 9th... Lamb is likely off the board, but I really don't see him having a better career than Austin Rivers. I project them to be about the same... I give the edge to Lamb for length but really, its not a huge gap in skill.

The one thing that worries me about Lamb is his on court acumen reminds me of a young Gerald Green... (maybe the anti-swag cockiness) they're completely different players but something just strikes me as similar between the 2

Either way, I think its between Jeremy and Austin and you gotta go with Lamb...

We can hold Rivers hostage and force Boston to trade us Rondo in a package for him because
Doc will be dying to get him

Y'all really expect Lamb to be off the board by 7 or 8? I guess Portland (or Cleveland more likely) could take Lamb at 6, and in that scenario, Drummond would fall to 7 to either the Warriors or us. But, quite frankly, I expect him to be on the board when we pick.

I was going to make 5-10 game highlights for both Beal and Lamb because I was collecting their games throughout the season but it's useless now. It's not happening.

There is nothing similar mentally about them. Lamb is a team player who knows how to play basketball, has an awesome work ethic and a calm/mature demeanor on the court (in fact his biggest flaws are probably that he is too calm and too much of a team player at times). Young Gerald Green looked (with his headband half way up his head) and played like an idiot.
