I'd take him and let him grow a core of Val, Lamb, and Bargnani could be a force to be reckoned with later on in the future. Especially if you can get DeRozan and Ed back for cheap which will be pretty likely and with DeRozan's work ethic you know he'd be getting better each year.

Val
Bargnani/Ed
DeRozan
Lamb
Dragic

I wanna see that grow even if it doesn't make the playoffs next year (you add another lotto pick :o) That would bust open the second round easily.

Well, that is questionable. He may be marginally getting better each year, but not by as much as you'd expect - especially with his 'famous' work ethic. I'm hoping working out with the olympic team teaches him a thing or two this summer. Maybe someone will show him how to exploit the physical tools, and what little 'talent' he actually has.

He is young and could still be a great part of a winning team down the road. I just see him in more of a 6th man role. He is only a starter because he is marginally better than our other SGs.

Yeah I agree with this. It's what I thought should happen all along. I know rumours about Nash, Igoudala, Gay are all awfully tempting and I wouldn't be complaining if we did acquire them, but this option is still my number one. Miss the playoffs in a competitive year next season and draft well one last time.

Obviously our ceiling all depends on how good Jonas, Lamb, Derozan and Ed develop but that's a young team worth watching long term imo which is a better option than 2 years of early exits with beloved Nash/Iggy at the helm and then looking for answers again with our young prospects traded away.

I have a feeling that proposed lineup will have nice chemistry and other than Bargs/Dragic they all still have a lot of upside.

Absolutely fredericklove!

I gotta admit, after watching extensive youtube clips of all the prospects in our range, I'm thinking of buying a ticket on the Lambwagon!

PJIII under Casey is what my heart wants, but Lamb's Floater, natural feel for the game, hops, length, shot and age are quite hard to ignore for an 8th pick.

I just get a nagging sense that PJIII's manhood is going to be questioned by the right person; he's going to look in the mirror one night, get pissed off, flick the switch and dunk on all of us.

Image
(Just a random shot I found online of his hops, Mods please delete if I can't post this, sorry!)

Sigs aside, I'm:

1.) PJIII (Think I'm just Star-hungry)
1a.) Lamb
2.) Trade the Pick

It looks like we're in a very good position to take Lamb. His jumper reminds me of T-Mac. If he's there, i say pick him and don't look back.

Just to pump you guys up:

I will admit i was on the Lillard bandwagon for a while but now im back on the Lamb bandwagon. I forgot how much i liked Lamb last year when he played for team USA. The kid is a born shooter, he has some nice handles, hes athletic and he can play defense. I always thought he would be picked in the top 6 but now its seems clear that he will be there when the raptors pick.

I think this kid has all star potential, if he adds some weight he can be a poor mans Kevin Durant but at SG. If he doesnt reach his potential i still think he can be a pretty good player.

Hes not the best interviewer but who cares we should be draft BPA. He doesnt play like he interviews, he might never be a first option because hes too passive but he could easily be a 2nd or 3rd option. I can see Lamb coming off the bench as a 6th man to start the season but eventually i can see him starting and Derozan moving over to SF once he gets stronger.

I will be very dissapointed if BC doesnt pick Lamb if hes available. We will regret it down the road when he becomes a pretty damn good player. If he gets stronger then sky is the limit for this kid. That will be key for him.

put together another Lamb game compilation just now:

couple of things which caught my eye: crazy space he creates on his step back because of his long strides (the player guarding him there is 6'7-6'8), and dat handle at 1:25, keeps the ball so low the defender can't poke it out.

Some underrated aspects of Lambs game is body control & hand-eye coordination. You look at some of the plays where he finished around the rim, they are actually very difficult plays. A lot of guys wouldn't be able to make those plays in the air (watch his freshman highlights on the previous page).

The guy has ridiculously huge mitts too. You watch some of his interviews where he's nervously scratching his face. Guy's hands are massive.

The talent & skill is there. We just need to help add the body strength & confidence.

One thing Lamb would really benefit from is strong leadership. He seems like the type of player that gains strength/ confidence when he's around other strong/ confident players.

We're still looking for that Alpha Dog Leader. I think finding one would help take this young team to another level. We've got a pretty good group of young pups, now they just need a pack leader.

WOW. That super aggressive iso play starting at 1:23 was really, really impressive. That's exactly what we need on this team. The guy just toyed with his defender off the dribble. He's got yo-yo handles.

For anyone that doesn't think that Lamb has any aggression in his game, watch these highlights.

Realistically, this kid should be a top 5 pick. We'll be lucky to get a player this skilled at 8.

Good job bro... Thats the game I watched this morning before I wrote my post on here and
there was a bunch of moves that weren't on Youtube that I wanted Lamb fans to see
from that game.

I also have some UCONN games against Fairfield, Providence, Syracuse, etc
and wish I knew how to make a highlight video on youtube from the footage from my PVR.

If you got any more games keep on making Lamb videos :D

What's even more impressive about the play at 1:25 is that not only was he pulling off a very hard dribble move with a crossover then a behind the back dribble consecutively with a defender draped all over him, but not once did he bother to put his head down to take a look at his dribble. You still see plenty of NBA (*cough* Bayless *cough*) players looking down on their dribble as they're being closely guarded or dribbling into traffic and trying to dance on their defender to get rid of them. His head and eye is glued to the rim like he knows he wants to get there. Just phenomenal focus.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin' back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Hope there's more clips like this. This is exactly what my sig is talking about at 1:25, its those type of moves that break people down so I'm surprised other poster accuses of my sig as being sarcastic to Lamb LOL. That game shows he's quite aggressive on the board when the game is on the line, its right that he tends to coast abit but I know Casey's gonna work him like there's no tomorrow :D
