I rather see Jose and Andre to LAL for Gasol and Duhon, who go to Minni for Pelvoic, Derrick Williams and Barea.

Rumor had it Minni was going after Gasol hard, but did not want to give up Kevin Love I believe. Raptors can add anyone not name Demar, Jonas, Ross, and Lowry. Raptors get their SF and C (let Jonas develop properly).

Hill is playing great for the Lakers unfortunately he is on his way out since Dantoni is in. We all know he did not value him that much in NY.

What about this?

To Toronto: Deng + Hinrich
To Chicago: Calderon + Ariza + Ross + Anderson
To Washington: Belinelli

We get our SF

Bulls get their future SG while getting Ariza as a replacement. Calderon also fills in for Rose

Salary dump for Washington. Saving 10+ million.

Kyle Lowry / Kirk Hinrich / John Lucas
Demar Derozan / Landry Fields
Loul Deng / Linas Kleiza / Dominique McGuire
Andrea Bargnani / Ed Davis / Quincy Acy
Jonas Val / Amir Johnson / Aaron Gray

Jose Calderon / Marquis Teague / Derrick Rose
Richard Hamilton / Terrence Ross
Trevor Ariza / Alan Anderson / Jimmy Butler

Is a solid wing rotation.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I know some will think this is impossible. Think about it for Denver they have a lot of money invested in Iggy,McGee,Lawson,Gallanari, and Chandler and have played good with their team but their goal to get better doesn't look to bright for that team. So to give them a chance at either signing someone in the offseason and have and even better team or just cap space for the right time is too much to turn down for them.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=aqpywkr

For raptors they get a SF starter in Gallanari, sixth man type in Chandler, an expiring young C in Mozgov. They trade Jose,Bargnani, and Ed Davis and can give up that Sac 2nd too if needed but I think it won't be neccescary as we are taking on salary in this case and freeing them up of cap space, so all in all a win-win for both teams.

Raptors list of rookies should be PJ3, Lillard, Rivers, Waiters, or Harkless.
I say draft Lillard, Waiters, or Harkless.

Here is a trade that could help us have capspace and also give us some depth while losing Bargnani, and getting a decent SF and a guy at PF who plays 2 way ball.

My last scenario for Bargnani. Why we do this trade to get rid of him and get someone with a cheaper three year contract giving us room to have to have future cap space and we get an unprotected pick or top 7 protected pick. We give up Ed davis but get a good two way prospect in Henson on a cheaper rookie deal saving us more money and helping us in terms of the future.

Do you think it would be possible to land Josh Smith and Gallinari trading Bargs, Calderon plus fillers (maybe Ross, Davis)?

The Bargnani-Boozer ideas are not so crazy since Chicago has re-signed Taj Gibson and faces the prospect of having to amnesty Boozer next summer if they want to avoid tax and have some financial flexibility to improve at other positions. However... I would not do that trade unless we send out more salary, let's say Kleiza, or get a better draft pick from Chicago - namely the pick Charlotte owes them and/or the rights to Nikola Mirotec who was the 23rd pick in 2011 and plays for Real Madrid. We saw him have a very nice game against us at the start of the pre-season. He's kind of an Ersan Ilyasova type with a bit better body and meaner disposition.

That doesn't seem realistic. Mirotic is seen as a top 10 talent from that draft and I think the Bulls know exactly what they have. Chicago doesn't exactly just throw away their young talent, either.

Just listening to the Simmons podcast and they talked about Houston being a possibility for Dwight in the off season and how that would make Asik expendable.

This made me think of a straight forward trade that kinda makes sense if that happens

Asik for Bargs

Makes sense for Hou as Bargs can play a Ryan Anderson type role next to Dwight. Raps can slide Val to PF and improve the D even more

In terms of Bargnani, don't want Boozer; if we trade with the Bulls it will be for Deng.

Other possible destinations:

- Big 3 way trade with Lakers and Minny (Bargs, and Jose plus other pieces to LAL, Gasol going to Minny, Derrick Williams and Pelovic to us)
- Bargs and Ross to Orlando for Affalo, Harrington, and Nicholson
- I also like one suggested deal with Bargs for Jeff Green, but not sure how well Garnett will take having Bargs on his team...

I would rather move Bargs for straight expirings than trade for Boozer or Pau personally as well.

But 1 guy I have liked for a while that could use a change in scenery.

so.

Denver Out:
Chandler, Jordan Hamilton 2013 first

in
Bargs

Denver add some shooting/scoring and should play well in their offense.

Minny out

Williams, Amundson

In
Chandler, Davis

Minny moves on from Williams and add some wing depth to help with Roy and Bud out.

Toronto trades:
Bargs, Davis

Gets:
Williams, Hamilton, Amundson, Denver 2013 first

Toronto trades its underperforming high pick with Minny's. Saves salary and adds a pick. Bargs value is definately higher than Williams but the salary savings and pick make up for it.

Lowry/Jose/Lucas
Demar/Ross/Anderson
McGuire/Hamilton/Fields
Williams/Kleiza/Amundson
JV/Amir/Gray

Allows for midseason trades with anderson/Jose/fields as trade bait.

Hollinger weighs in:

Yuri (Toronto)

Bargnani for Gallinari--who says no???

John Hollinger (2:58 PM)

That's an intriguing trade, as it would give the Nuggets some more spacing and give Toronto a real small forward. Only problem is how crowded it would make Denver's frontcourt. Still think if there's a Nuggets deal to be made it probably involves Wilson Chandler.

Wilson would be great for us. Remember those posters saying we don't need mediocre 'role players' like Wilson?

I think Wilson Chandler has a solid contract, but he doesnt provide the star power we need. If we are trading Bargnani I was high upside young cheap talent coming back. We have a lot of pieces that could make this team better, Colangelo needs to work the phones

Trade 1

Toronto Trades - Ed Davis
Toronto Receives - Cory Joseph + DeJuan Blair

Why - Summer league All Star, give him a chance to play some minutes here. Blair and Amir will certainly produce more then Bargnani if they split the role of PF

Trade 2

Toronto Trades - Andrea Bargnani + Sacramento 2nd Round Pick
Toronto Receives - Luke Ridnour + Derrick Williams

We get a perfect vet in Ridnour to back up Lowry. Ridnour can start when Lowry is hurt... We trade our enigma PF for a cheaper younger enigma PF in Williams. Change of scenary could work becomes a great asset to pair with Ross for someone like Paul George

Trade 3 (After December 15th)

Toronto Trades - Landry Fields
Toronto Receives - Royce White + Carlos Delfino

Fields is best friends with Lin and Houston has money, perhaps they take a gamble

Trade 4

Toronto Trades - Jose Calderon
Toronto Receives - John Salmons + Thomas Robinson

Kings trade away a lottery pick to dump salary

Raptors

Lowry - Ridnour - Lucas - (Joseph D league)
DeRozan - Anderson - Ross
Delfino - Kleiza - Salmons (Royce White D league)
Williams - Robinson - Blair
JV - Amir - Gray

This is how you collect young assets and surround them with low cost vets

I am not a fan of Chandler;
We can easily argue he is a victim of finite minutes in Denver; but he is shooting 31% and 25% from beyond the arc this season, and making 6 - 7 m for the next few seasons to basically be the same sort of "hope he fits in and gets better when he gets here" sort of acquisitions as Kapono, Kleiza, and Fields were.

I may be crazy, and I am sure most posters will let me know I am;
But I would sooner swing for the fences in a buy low situation like Ellis and play DeRozan at the three then take a chance on another guy who we hope fills the void and if he doesnt has a contract which is highly unmovable.

^He's coming off an injury and is playing behind Gallanari/Iggy.

The difference between Chandler and the SF products we had is that he's a proven SF when given minutes that fills the needs of our team to the tee. Hedo/Fields/Kapono never played defense AND rebounded AND shot well enough to fill our needs. Chandler possibily could fill all those holes. In starter minutes before his injury on the Knicks he averaged 16/5 on 46%FG. He's already an established defender.. In an already depleted SF talent pool we'd be foolish of not trying to acquire him.
