I dont think he will continue to play like this, sadly I feel a drop off is incoming. Though if its just a small drop off, I guess his contract will be validated.

Demar has surprised me so far this season. He was my favourite player on the team for quite a while and I'm hoping he can maintain this level and especially the rebounding!!!!

A question:

it seems we are finally accepting or getting over the fact that AB will not a MAX player and hes not getting MAX money therefore he will probably never be better than he is today.

What are you guys expecting from Demar to make his new contract "Worthwhile"?

If he can play around the way he played against the wolves and the Nets then hey I think its a good deal. He's gonna get you 20 but its a soft 20 cuz he's not gonna make a huge impact in the 4th.

After three games he has tossing up 19/5/1 with a PER of 24.3
Last season after six games he was tossing up 19/4/1.5 on 62% shooting from beyond the arc

New DeMar is really just old DeMar, but I am hopeful.

Is he can keep the same defensive hustle we have seen over three games, and continue to be an asset on offense and not a determent on defense while tossing up 18/4/1 with 5FTA a game and 3PT% in the mid to high 30's I would be pretty content and I think the contract would be pretty darn reasonable.

I think he'll be a streaky 20ppg scorer. I hate how he settles for jumpers 80% of the time. The past 2 games he's been hitting them.

If he can average 25+ on the sum of his PPG/RPG/APG/SPG, he'll definitely fulfill that contract. The past two seasons and he'd put great PPG, but severely lacking in everything else. At this point in time he should be a 20/4/1 kind of guy.
#Raptors are 7-1. In 6 of the past 10 seasons, a team that has started a season 7-1 has gone on to win an NBA championship.

DD needs to know how to work the refs more. It's tougher now since they theoretically won't call cheap tricks like leg kicks and **** like that.

But I bet Wade will still get those calls.

Honestly, we just need to win some games to get some more ref respect.

If he can do 18/5/2 with a PER above 15 and a TS % above .540 along with a DRTG around 103 I'd be happy with his contract.

I think he's going to exceed my expectations.

It's funny because we would win more games if we got the respect in the first place.

Last week: Scrub, no handles, no shot, huge overpay, shouldn't even be a bench player in the league, 5 mil a year would be an overpay

Now: DO WE HAVE THE BEST BACKCOURT IN THE LEAGUE?!

Love his aggression this season for the past 3 games to get to the line more. He also improved on his handles trying to get to the rim which is nice to see. Hopefully he keeps this up and improve to what BC signed him too.

I'm pretty sure his per wasn't anything near 20 6 games in even with the three point shooting. Then again his PER may not be anything near 20 6 games into this season.
