thats the biggest load. there MUST be more to the story for a guy to get suspended for a year for a friend lending him money for a trip and getting repaid after

JN wrote:Myck Kabono reportedly out for season by NCAA. To be announced very soon accordin to UNC-Texas broadcast.

Myck Kabongo, sophomore guard for Texas, will be suspended by the NCAA for the remainder of the season.

Texas has held Kabongo out of the lineup as the NCAA investigated whether he received impermissible benefits from agent Rich Paul.

Paul represents LeBorn James, Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph.

The season-long ban is consistent with the penalty applied to former Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant in 2009 when he lied to the NCAA.

Several NBA front-office officials believed Kabongo could have elevated himself into a mid-first round draft pick as a sophomore. As one Eastern Conference official said, "Maybe even a late lottery pick in what's going to be an average draft."

There's a dude named LeBorn?

Updated. Stauskas had a good shooting game today. His TS% is absurdly high for a 2-guard.

Has anyone heard of Marial Shayok. He's a 16 year old 6'8 guard who is currently playing for a prep school in New Jersey. Some people were saying he has NBA potential.

Yes I have been talking about stauskas since year started. He is ridiculous from behind the arc so good not sure how his defence or handles are but they are playing him at the three when he is obviously a two guard.

Myck Kabongo update. He can play on Feb 13th vs Iowa State.

Pete Thamel ‏@SIPeteThamel
NCAA: "Kabongo accepted airfare, personal training instruction and then provided false and misleading information."

Pete Thamel ‏@SIPeteThamel
Kabongo bailed out by student-athlete reinstatement staff on an appeal "modified the staff decision, which was a one-year withholding."

Pete Thamel ‏@SIPeteThamel
From NCAA release: "This includes the 10-game withholding condition the university self-imposed." So he'll be back during Big 12 play.

NCAA announces its changed Kabongo ruling: Went from a year to 23 games.

i have no idea but if a guy goes to college early, i'm guessing that he will try to declare as soon as he is sure he will get drafted... so if he does well for the rest of the season who knows if it could even be this year? it's a weak draft after all.

agreed. this would be really cool.

or maybe a website devoted to Canadians in the NCAA? i'm sure it'd have a pretty good following - just a collection of articles and what not on each player, and maybe a small message board for people to talk about various players & prospects.

just some random thoughts that people can tear apart:

1) don't you think kabongo must declare this year no matter what? even if he has a crappy 10 games, he won't be judged too harshly for it since it'll be such a small sample size and there is a real possibility that he would drop out of the first round in the 2014 draft. i mean if he has 10 good games he should declare since it'll lock him as a high pick. 10 bad games, he's still a first round pick.

2) kelly olynyk looking like nba material.

3) kevin pangos not looking like nba material.

4) dwight powell - nobody really seems to be talking about this guy.
