Have to wait for him to start playing well so his trade value can go up...but then BC will fall in love with him again and overvalue him...and the vicious cycle will continue.

The only way Colangelo can survive this year is by dealing Bargnani. It's nice to finally see a journalist putting some pressure on the front office, it's been awhile. Big ups to Timmy!

Bargnani should not be starting in the NBA. That's not even the hater in me saying this. He doesn't have enough skills to warrant a starting position and over 35 mpg.

Off the bench in limited minutes, he'd be a welcome addition to some teams that have a dominant center already. Otherwise, he's Ryan Anderson without the ability to rebound and defend.

I'd be surprised if anyone offers him more than MLE after this contract other than Bryan Colangelo.

I would take:
Tayshaun Prince
Dorell Wright
Andrei Kirilenko
Jeff Green

His trade value will be pretty much the same whether he picks things up or not. Teams know what they are getting, he's not a 2nd or third year player anymore. He's 27. The danger of waiting around until he plays better is that it will make Colangelo and Casey go all over his nut sack again and orgasm at the thought of Bargnani = Dirk. Anyways, it's admirable for Chisholm to come out and say this but bottom line is as long as Colangelo is running the show Bargnani will always be a Raptor. End of story.

The day this moron is traded I am dancing in Yonge & Sheppard wearing a Lungi.

Remember we traded Hoffa for Kris Humphries. I wonder if we can pull that same stunt here.

A trade for Varejao would make a lot of sense for both teams. Cavs could use some extra scoring + talent, and Varejao seems to fit in with what the Raps are trying to create.

Exactly. Similar to what I posted in the previous page. He's an inconsistent streaky scorer a la Jamal Crawford. A hot streak won't change his trade value.

If they threw Alonzo Gee in that would be superb

haven't been a Bargnani hater to date but the first thought I had watching this team with Lowry, Val, etc... (even Landry) was how much Bargnani's lack of hustle stands out now more than ever.

A trade for Varajeo would not make sense for the Cavs. He is their most experienced player and is playing like an All-Star at the moment.

We don't even have to worry about Bargnani exploding somewhere else either. He has been given the opportunity to explode here, and hasn't done much with his opportunities. Trade him with Confidence. Addition by subtraction. If he's only capable of playing PF and only PF, then there's 2 of them on the roster already in Amir and Davis. With higher usage rate with these 2, I don't think they'd be any worse than Bargnani.

Have you people ever watched a Raptors game? I honestly don't think you have.
Why on Gods green earth would you get rid of a 20 pt/game scorer for nothing? WTF?

All it will take is a few calls to go our way and things would be much, much different.

How about Ilyasova?

He's struggling and apparently in Skiles doghouse...not that Bargnani necessarily fits them any better...but a change of scenery might be good for both guys.

His contract is too long. Another inconsistent player.

Illyasova or even Ryan Anderson would make sense. They're all pretty similar and all have had their share of problems this season

Varejao would be a pipedream. Its like assuming we can trade him for Noah or something
