I have no idea what game you guys where watching but Andrea was actually pretty good defensively. Even though his shot wasn't falling, he was more active offensively rather then standing at the 3pt line all day. He roll to the basket more often, he moved around in that mid range area, setting screens for the wing players and he was trying to get to the rim.
The only criticism I had was that he should have passed the ball more when he was driving since his teammates could have had better looks.

Say what you want about them but Bargs had a +20 and Calderon had a +15.

Pure coincidence. Killed offense whenever on the floor. Solid defensively though. Even saw him box out once,
That being said, standards need to be higher. He played poorly.

He played pretty good in the final quarter, minus the poor FT shootings.

not to harp on the poster, but this is the sort of post that makes raptor fans the laughing stock of the nba.
every single one of our bigmen miss rotations constantly, it is not a co-incidence. ever think that possibly it isnt so much the player and more the system, or the guys guarding on the wing?
seriously, all our bigmen played much better looking defense when lowry is in the game.
gotta see the whole picture man, not just the frame.
Val played exactly how most people expected, he grabbed some boards, rolled hard to basket, set hard screens, took ball to basket. he is a bloody rookie 10 games into career. his defense against vucevic wasnt great, but vecevic was hitting everything to start the game, sometimes that happens.
you need to learn the game.

Nothing surprising.
Still leading us to a losing record since 2007.

I'm convinced more than ever that Amir and Ed can hold down the fort at Power Forward for now. You want a stretch big? Amir hit a 3! lol We just need a solid 3 and a legit 6th man.
Completely agree. This is exactly what I want to see. Kleiza is essentially a shorter, cheaper, & much tougher version of Bargnani. If a guy is going to take questionable shots, I'd rather see him play his azz off & play with fire. Kleiza is the exact same age as Bargnani as well.
If there is a decent deal out there for Bargnani, BC needs to pull the trigger. There has to be a high paid SF out there that someone wants to dump.
If Bargnani stays, I want to see him in a 6th man role.
If he stays in the SL, they really need to tug on the leash & limit his role on offense. He's not smart enough to take any shot he wants.

Was it also coincidence we coughed up the lead and the team couldn't score when he was out ?

Pretty sure he's a pf/c no?
The NBATV analysts said he can play SF/PF idk, ah well I'm just desperate for a better SF even tho untank commander played well today.

He absolutely did not kill the offense today for a change, actually had things moving very well, set alot of screens, didnt hold the ball, took alot of good shots. and he played solid defense.

he never forced a single shot tonight, not a single shot, team actually ran some good plays and it got him engaged. only time he takes dumb shots is when team is down and he is given the ball on a stupid iso.

I heard that too. No idea WTF those guys were talking about. I think it was one of those random things said with no thought behind it. Nicholson is a PF. He has nowhere near the athleticism to play SF.

Valanciunas' most impressive skill right now IMO is his 2nd jump, it allows him to offensive rebound his own misses, put up putbacks quickly, or keep plays alive if he doesn't get it the first time. He also made a nice defensive 2nd jump play this game to deflect a ball to our guys IIRC

I recall a number of WTF type shots. Fade away shots.......long 2 pointers.
I've lost faith in his ability to shoot from the perimeter. I want to see him operate from the elbow 90% of the time.
I will give Andrea one thing.......he played with energy. That used to be enough for me, but if we want to improve over the long term, we need energy & offensive efficiency.
I would say this season (so far), he hasn't earned his contract.

Bargnani for Stephen Jackson. Sjax would benefit our team even if he's a bit crazy sometimes.
Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

Re: PG: Remember, that's a seven footer out there.
I read somewhere that Bargnani tried to stay off his feet as much as possible this offseason to completely heal from his injury and as a result is not in proper shape.
If that's true then perhaps we should wait a few weeks to se if he can recapture last year's early season form.....or not.

Get a lottery pick or young prospect for Bargnani, cause this team is going nowhere for next couple years...

He only forced up 3 shots, one was a fadeaway, the other was a 3pt shot at the back end of the clock and the third he scored at the back end of the clock of Derozan's feed.
If he doesn't miss 3 blank point lay ups, he'd be 10-19 and not 7-19.

I think John Lucas III needs to see a specialist of some kind.
