Bargnani played with some effort today which is encouraging. But it's sad when shooting 37% in a game is an improvement over the previous three. I'll take the win over a bad team at home though.

Even though his shot wasn't falling, he was more active offensively rather then standing at the 3pt line all day. He roll to the basket more often, he moved around in that mid range area, setting screens for the wing players and he was trying to get to the rim.

I didn't see him dive to the rim that much. Leo kept bringing that up the entire game how he needed to roll more, and that first came in the 4th Quarter when he rolled, caught the ball from behind his head and elevated for the mid-range jumper. He was more active off the ball than usual, but he still flares out to the wing for the jumpshot far too often instead of ducking in when he sets the screen for his teammates.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I recall a number of WTF type shots. Fade away shots.......long 2 pointers.

I've lost faith in his ability to shoot from the perimeter. I want to see him operate from the elbow 90% of the time.

I will give Andrea one thing.......he played with energy. That used to be enough for me, but if we want to improve over the long term, we need energy & offensive efficiency.

I would say this season (so far), he hasn't earned his contract.

He only forced up 3 shots, one was a fadeaway, the other was a 3pt shot at the back end of the clock and the third he scored at the back end of the clock of Derozan's feed.

If he doesn't miss 3 blank point lay ups, he'd be 10-19 and not 7-19.

And who's fault is that?

We already have more efficient PFs on the team. No reason for Bargnani to be on the floor.

His stock just went up again. Time to sell high. Bargnani for Paul George. Larry Bird sees himself in Bargnani!

those are shots that are generally part of his repertoire. i have no problem seeing him take them as long as it isnt a rushed or forced shot.

Most other cities have that promotion whether its pizza, big macs, tacos, chalupas etc

We just act like we've never ate anything before...But if you were subject to watching this
awful team for so many years you'd want some kind of reward for watching too.

Just because he takes em, doesn't mean he should.

He's been shooting high 40's from 10-15 feet the past few seasons. Low 40's from 16-23 feet.

The long 2's kill his shooting %. He takes a lot of them too. He takes over 2x as many shots from 16-23 feet as he does from 10-15. He's actually got decent big man skills offensively. He should use them more.

His pull up jumper from 10-15 feet is money. He needs to use it more.

Anybody want to come to my house for the game? 50 bucks and I'll throw in a slice or two no matter how many points they score.

Free is a four-letter F word too because people are freekening idiots.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Was sitting right next to a pair of ghetto gangsters who never grew up. The one dude was so drunk and high he was trying to rap every single time a beat came up, then he got up and started hitting on some girl and tried to start some **** with the bf while making us stand like forever for him to get to the stairs. Then he tried taking my popcorn away before almost falling down the stairs. It was the most annoying raptors game Ive been in. I think they got escorted out by security because they never came back.

Other than that the game was good. Bargnani, Derozan and Calderon did a good job. I like Kleiza shooting the corner 3s hes an asset there. Even Mcguire was putting a good effort tonight too. The offensive scheme was A LOT better this game.

Sometimes it's like reading 1960s editions of Pravda when the topic of Bargnani comes up and his detractors can't even muster a vague complement for a good game. Ya, I'm open to trading him for value, to align PF with the rest of our younger lineup, and providing the incoming talent is real value and contributes to our offence. But it's really mind- blowing how petty people are. Five boards is what they focus on, never mentioning two blocks, or two steals, solid positional D most of the game or a beautiful and very important assist in crunch time, nor a pair of key baskets that helped take a tie out to a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter.

Holly McKenzie, like a lot of media, have been very critical of him, and justifiably so, but this is what she wrote today.

* Andrea's strong start: There hasn't been a lot of positive surrounding Andrea Bargnani's start to this season. He finally had a strong start against the Magic, looking engaged, energetic and actually attacking the basket. After the game, Dwane Casey talked about the importance of Bargnani coming out strong because, as he said, offensively the team goes as Bargnani goes. While Bargnani was active offensively, he was aggressive defensively as well, grabbing five rebounds and blocking two shots in 39 minutes.

This was a much better game for him. When he was in, we were generally the better team by a good margin. He hasn't had enough of these games, that's a legit criticism, but have the intellectual honesty to admit he had a good one today.

out here if the Jazz win they all get Big Macs, no scores involved. Part of the reason why Jazz have one of the loudest arenas.
