Official Tank for Andrew Wiggins Thread

Post#1 » by BeasleyTheBeast » Tue Nov 27, 2012 2:08 am

**Not sure if a thread similar to this has been made already**

If you don't know about the high school phenom from Thornhill, Ontario you need to educate yourself.

A lot of hype and I think he is worthy of the attention he is getting. I'm hearing comparison from Lebron James, to Scottie Pippen and Tracy McGrady.

Me being from Toronto always wanted to see another Torontnian being in the NBA and dominate, Mr. Wiggins is that guy.

Making the Raptors bad enough next season to have a good shot at him will be quite a task. Orlando, Detroit, Sacramento, and New Orleans all look like they'll be struggling for the next two seasons. Minnesota could take a turn for the bottom pretty easily. So could Atlanta. So could Milwaukee. Phoenix doesn't have much on the horizon. I don't know what to make of Utah.

How will the Raptors assure that they'll be worse next season than they were last season? I think that the time will come to start trading for 2014 first rounders from those teams. I'd regard JV as the only player that's off-limits. Ross and Davis would be nice to keep, but they can go, too, if the deal is right. I'd trade Lowry or DeRozan for a first-rounder and a bad contract from some of them, but it'd probably have to wait until the summer.

The worst record seldom wins the 1st overall. We just need to be bottom 4.

Isn't tanking 2 seasons in advance a little early?

Yes, let's keep cheering for our team to lose in hopes of striking lottery gold in the future at some point.

You're dumb. Either follow another team that is successful or enjoy the painful ride of being a raptors fan.

I'll give up Lowry or Jonas to have another lottery pick to get a shot at Wiggins. No jokes. Sorry Jonas, I love you man but Wiggins is the goat.

I'm going by the prescribed odds; not history. It's unlikely, but it gives them the best chance. Ending up second last would be worse, and so on. That's partly why I'm interested in them getting a second lottery pick.

No.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

“I like to see everything that happened there with my parents,” Wiggins said of FSU. “It would be a joy to go there, I mean great weather. Great people, great education. Great coaching staff. they make players better. They don’t always get the best players in the nation, or top five or top ten, but they develop four-year players to get ready for the NBA.”

Guess he won't force his way to toronto.../green  :-?
