Exactly. Its laughable.

It's laughable that we never seem to tank properly.

+1

We always end up with a 7-12 pick because we win too many games.

2.5 games back from 8th is a pretty decent place to be. I'm sorry if your dream of drafting a guy who hasn't played a single game outside of high school is on the rocks, but maybe you might enjoy watching the team that plays in Toronto now. I hear they won last night.

2.5 games back of 8th? A face-ff against the Heat in the first round? Sign me up. This is going to be one exciting first-round exit.

The point is we're delusional if we think our team is realistically going to be in position to draft Wiggins.

Why?

A smart GM would hold a firesale and get rid of most of our veterans, ensuring that we win as few games as possible.

It's unrealistic to expect because our GM is a moron, but if we were properly run, you can bet that we would be doing everything in our power to win that first pick next year.

Forget Wiggins for now but one thing I would do is let him know just like the Cavs have let it be known that when Lebron is a free agent again they are going to have enough cap space to sign a max player . Just to make it clear .

So, are we still a few pieces away from "making noise" in the playoffs, you guys?

We need to blow this team up and get a top 3 pick in 2014! The team's performance for the next decade depends on it!!!

Watching it right now. Wiggins already got Vonleh in foul trouble

That's great, I'm assuming Wiggins' physicality is too much for Vonleh's skinny build to handle. Do a game recap for me at the end wiill ya, much appreciated.

I'm interested in the specifics of said firesale. I'm seriously curious, who are we giving away and for what back, and why does the other team accept the trade?

Keep Valanciunas, Davis, and Ross.

Trade anything else for as many 2014 picks as possible. Take back bad contracts if necessary.

Make sure Valanciunas, Davis, and Ross are surrounded by absolute garbage next season. Try to be as bad as possible.

Use the 2014 draft as a launching pad to greatness.

Profit.

Again though, specifically what are the deals?

This.

The only player we have - that is not named Jonas Valanciunas - who is worth a lottery pick is Kyle Lowry. And we already traded a lottery pick for him.

I could see a possible Sacto/Seattle trade for them to get competitive... Maybe they would give us their 2014 pick and a bad contract (Salmons) for Lowry and Ed Davis

Really though, we have nothing strong to offer outside of Valanciunas
