So they'll trade one of their toughest guys for one of the softest guys in the league & give us a draft pic?

Perkins posted the lowest playoff PER ever for a player logging at least 200 minutes. He might be the worst player in the league right now. And he has another 20 million or so owed to him over the next 2 seasons. At least Bargs is marginally serviceable, and, not to mention, an amnesty candidate. I wouldn't touch Perk unless that pick was Top 5.

I would be willing to trade something for Shabazz, Goodwin or McCollum (respectively that asset would decrease in value)...I can't tell if McCollum might turn into a massive steal or just another flash in the pan.

I'd love Bazz in the late lotto but i severly doubt he gets passed Detroit or Minnesota.

Amir/Kleiza for Perkins/#12 would likely be more fair value.

I love Amir. But i'd entertain the idea. Seems like a win win for both. OKC get help upfront with rebound/scoring/hustle. We get a crappy Center in Perk, but get the 12th with it. How do you guy feel about this deal? Gun to my head I take the deal. But I'd also look to move other assets and attempt to tank lol.

Yeah guys I'd love to take a chance on Bazz but I guarantee that unless something really unexpected comes up, Detroit isn't passing. They've got a huge hole on the wings and Bazz is too talented not to take the risk in this weak draft.

I'd like to acquire a pick in this draft but this one isn't a good enough draft for me to want to take on salary to a get pick outside the Top 10. So for me, I'd be more than happy to buy Dallas' #13 and/or a late pick to draft Carter-Williams who could be worth a look or Goodwin who's more of a project but we ain't winning next year so might as well develop young guys.

I suspect we'll target Giannis Adetokunbo, Dario Saric, Dennis Schroeder with a late lotto/mid first rd. pick if we acquire one.

If we happen to acquire a very high pick, I'd think Oladipo, Burke, McLemore are in play. Not sure we have the assets to acquire a high pick though.

No idea what Masai is going to do, if anything at all.

Yup. I see tremendous value in the later rounds with some of these international prospects. Straight cash should be able to get us there.

Adetokunbo, Saric, Adams, Karasev, Schroeder, Jateih, Nogueira, Kabongo all seem like really interesting prospects.

I also still really like Goodwin, too, who looks a bubble first rounder now.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Both BC and Masai were present at the time to scout Giannis Adetokunbo, whose parents hail from Nigeria, as does Masai Ujiri.

As a Denver Nuggets blog notes:

In Sheridan’s article on his website SheridanHoops.com, he refers to Adetokunbo as a former “best-kept secret in NBA scouting circles” who put on “quite a show in the Greek national junior tournament attended by Bryan Colangelo of the Toronto Raptors and Masai Ujiri of the Denver Nuggets.”

The second interesting storyline here involves African pedigree. Both Ujiri and Adetokunbo’s parents have roots in Nigeria. Ujiri is also the director of the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders African program and first cut his teeth in the NBA as an international scout. There’s a good chance he knows the up-and-coming talent from his native continent of Africa better than any scout in the league today.

In the 2012 Draft, Ujiri took two international prospects and seemingly stole at least one. There are a few more international prospects slated to drop in the first round this year, but if Adetokunbo’s one of them and Ujiri is the man who drafts him, we’ll just have to forgo any unnecessary speculation and immediately mark it down as another steal.
