Second rounders I like McDermott, Purvis or Nedovic.

No way Trey burke goes top 5. I need to see Otto Porter play. cdel has nothing but good things to say about him.

I think he'll go top 5. Most complete pg prospect I've seen since Paul and Williams came out.

Glad people are jumping on the Michael Carter-Williams bandwagon. Dude is a do-it-all PG with legit size.

My top 5 are in no particular order would probably be

Shabazz
Noel
Bennett
Burke
Carter-Williams

I think I would have McLemore in there instead of Carter-Williams or Bennett. But, other than that, I think those are the top guys, definitely.

EDIT: Otto Porter would be the next guy on the list - that guy plays like Shawn Marion.

Mcelmore I think is the best overall prospect to me in this draft. Guy can do it all offensively he is a little slim but that s expected of guys coming out of college he has quickness to defend and is even a solid contributor at getting the ball to his teammates.

Cdel! So I watched the end of the first half and all of the second. My thoughts on Otto are that he is a very good rebounder. Very active once the shot is up. He also has a smooth mid range game. He made some suspect plays in the second half and some key turn overs. But overall decent game. He seemed like their go to scorer for the most part. I can't help but wonder if he's a bit of a tweener or if that's just the way Georgetown uses him. Looked like he played Pf a bit. But he also showed his ball handling skills and his range beyond the perimeter. I can see why he's a good prospect.

I can see the Marion comp. But Otto is and had better mechanics on his form. I'm not sure what Otto does to be dominant at the next level. But he's a good rebounder and has good size/frame. He should be a good defender. Only concern would be can he stay in front of NBA 4s.

I missed the game :( but see that Gtown upset Louisville.

Reading the box I see the 7 TOs being uncharacteristic. I think he was juiced. He knows the game was huge for getting to march madness. Youthful exuberance ;)

He normally is a very smart player.

Gonna try and find a seed to watch it.

Ya watch it and let me know what you think. He had a good first half, but started to make silly mistakes. Either or it was a good game to the very end. I noticed a nice guard from Georgetown. I think his name was starks. He makes some nice plays while showing is cross over.

How much difference is there between Nerlens Noel and Steven Adams? Their stats are fairly similar and I think Adams would be getting bigger minutes if he weren't playing for Dixon. Adams is a year older, but has a better frame and has good strength. That he went to Pitt means something to me because it shows he was looking to get better as a player and not just be showcased for the NBA. Noel has some extra skills like ball-handling and passing ability.

Noel's athletic skillset may work better and quicker to get used to in the NBA. Like he can make an immediate defensive impact on the floor sooner than Adams due to his blocking/stealing/passing/reading the floor ability. Like he's not a guy who needs a post up game in order to make an impact.

Adams has skills but seems to me that he can only thrive in the NBA setting if he knows how to use his post up game effectively, not as quick or hustle or athletically or plays defense the way Noel plays and like any post up game oriented players it may take times to get used to the NBA big man game especially talking about the refinement and adjustment to the post moves and reading plays etc. One thing tho, Adams is ahead on the learning curve in terms of post up game.

If draft express is up to date their numbers couldn't be farther apart.

6.7 points on 5 attempts, 6 rbs, and 2 blks in 22 mins

vs

10.7 points on 7.5 attemps, 9.4 rbs, 2.5 stls, and 4.3 blks in 31 mins

Still love Otto Porter's game. He'd probably by my #1 pick right now.

And just to say, I've been on the damn forefront of the Porter bandwagon, I posted about him in December! viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1219510&p=33955984#p33954421

Ideal size for the 3, nice finisher, good defensive potential and has shown that he can hit the 3. Anyone?
