This is an ugly game. So many missed dunks. Birch is having a rough one.

Reinhardt is just a disaster when he puts the ball on the floor.

Wish I were watching the UNLV hosers rather than this NCAA coach's circle-jerk on CBS but I'm looking forward to Kentucky/Louisville at 4pm.

Oh my Bennett. He cuffed that ball.

From DX, his numbers thus far:
17.7 PPG, 53.6 FG%, 38.1% 3pt FGs, 3.4 RPG, 6.9 APG, 1.3 SPG, Just 1.8 TOPG
I've been hyping him up on this forum since last year. IMO, he's the most complete pg in college and is CP3 light. Last year he was a borderline first rounder, this year he is in the lottery.

I agree. As far as this draft goes, I think there will be some good players to come out of this draft. Burke is one of them. I like Bennett, Muhammad obviously, and then there are guys with considerable potential (SGs) in Archie Goodwin, "Big" Ben McLemore of Kansas, and an interesting PG of Syracuse who's averaging 10 ast per game - '6-6'' at that - in Michael Carter-Williams.
Bennett and Burke are the intriguing ones to me. With Bennett, and him being a canadian is an obvious plus, I wonder if the Raptors will make some sort of play in the draft where they dangle Lowry and maybe an Ed Davis to try to get him. If not for him, then I'd be all for doing that for Trey Burke.

Bennett is definitely intriguing, but I think he is going to be a huge defensive liability at the next level. I like his versatility on offense, but he tends to camp at the three point arc at times. (in this game in particular)

Bennett's been pretty slow to recover. UNLV gave up some easy back cuts to UNC.

Yeah, the defense does concern me. I've read reports on that, and they aren't favorable. But, you can't deny the talent. He does some things at that size that not many can. He's got a good physical profile. Dude has a wide frame.

Goodwin and Noel in attack mode. Nice block by Noel, too.

Double-double for Bennett with two massive dunks in the game.

Noel is extremely quick for a big. Pretty damn explosive.

What a sequence for Noel.

Peyton Siva is nasty. The circus layup to avoid Noel then the wrap around pass the next possession.

His feet and balance given his frame are something else. Approaching KD in that area. Well, halfway.

Re: 2012/13 Toronto Raptors Draft Thread
Alex Poythress and Archie Goodwin have been very underwhelming this game. I've seen Goodwin played a couple of times and I just don't see the hype for him always coming away disappointed by his performances. He's very erratic/out-of-control when he attempts to go coast-to-coast drawing a charge by driving directly into a brick wall this game. He's way too reliant on his right hand and almost had a TO to end the half. If he could learn to dribble with both hands then I'd think he'd make very good use of his quickness end-to-end. The dribbling skill isn't at the level of his speed for now.
The only PG that have really stood out this year are Phil Pressey, Trey Burke, and Michael Carter-Williams. Ryan Harrow has been stepping it up as of late, but those are the PGs that have caught my attention.
Nerlens Noel with some very good reads stopping those lobs. He's a like a cornerback out there making all those interceptions with his long reach. Excellent sprinter for his size. Very light on his feet. He's always the first one down the floor on those rim runs after making a stop. I think he has more potential as a defensive player than Anthony Davis.

Love a bold statement. Got to work on those hands, though. They can get stronger, if not better.
Agree on Goodwin/Poythress. Goodwin the ghost and Poythress the mess.
