Exactly.

For a team without a talent issue we sure are desperate to acquire talented guys to add to our roster.

If you read the actual link, you would see that it was the Cavaliers "gauging interest" in Verajao. The part about Bargnani was that the Raptors were putting out feelers.

Not a big difference, mind you, but Hassassin's choice of thread title didn't help.

A player's value will be a constantly changing thing, depending on how he's performing, his contract, what other team's have or need at a particular time, and his health. I don't see anything wrong with articles stating that the Raptors are putting out feelers or gauging interest - it means they are out there trying to work something out and get the best deal possible. If you want him gone, why would you complain about this?

for example, if we read "Raps unwilling to gauge interest on Bargnani, view him as future star to build around" I would be a hell of a lot more worried.

(or any sort of variation that implies they are unwilling to investigate trade scenarios)

BC should just call DAL to propose a AB trade for Dirk.

Why? A younger Dirk lite with potential to grow for an old Dirk, who might only decline in the years to come. Plus, they're both injured now. The timing couldn't be more right.

I'm sure Cuban will be salivating all over the place just from hearing it.

....

I think this is the first "horrible" post I have read from you ... granted I haven't read many of your posts. Cuban would never do that to Dirk.

So you are agreeing its a great trade for DAL but think Cuban is too loyal to Dirk to dump him?

No the entire thing is bad, from the beginning of the post till the end. That specific point about Cuban salivating to unload Dirk stood out the most though.

Anyways, the dude was joking.

Kind of a dumb thing to ask, when 90% of the league are black dudes.

Like, "Do you need a black guy?", is that redundant?

Uhh, pretty sure he's making fun of the fact that Minny has a lot of white players.

I'm pretty sure the OP is referring to this.

Bargnani + 2013 1st for Ricky Rubio + salary filler

What 2013 1st?

It'll take an enormous amount more to pry Rubio. We'll also need to take back all their bad contracts like Roy, Barea, Ridnour.

1) There is no 2013 first for the Raptors
2) The wolves would have to throw in Love or AK-47 for the salaries to work out
3) Nobody wants Andrea and Rubio's not some scrub you can trade Andrea for

I would want to see the Raptors making a run at Derrick WIlliams or Ak-47 even though it's highly unlikely.

Only Colangelo would think this.

The exact opposite type of player, one that plays defense and hustles his butt off like Varajeo would be a perfect fit beside Love.
