That is how Triano did things and fans called him soft. Coaches do need to worry about public perception unless they are Larry Brown, PhilJax, Pop, Karl, Sloan type of experienced guys. Especially when the GM is in danger.
The psychology part is what makes coaching so tough. And players like Bargs make it that much harder. Walking a tightrope.

Nothing positive would come of Casey agreeing with Bargs. Maybe had he INITIATED the comment himself, and couched his phrase more carefully, it could be taken as a motivational stripe, but otherwise, it wouldn't have been a good idea. Psychologically, that might have even been divisive, seen as siding with Bargs.
