I could write that Jonas would miss at least 1 game...does that make me a beat writer, Doug? This just in...the sky is blue...the sun rises in the east and sets in the west!

@Eric__Smith
The update on Valanciunas is there is no update. Still waiting on official word (RE: prognosis, length of absence, etc) from medical staff.

I don't buy it that Jonas is out for at least 3 games, thanks Le Doug now we know it's 3 weeks thanks.

Come on guys, Doug is just ruling JV out of games the same way the NHL is cancelling games during the lockout. At least we know JV is making a good faith attempt at healing this way.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

The Doug truly is the worst beat writer in the league.

Exactly what I was thinking. Great spoof, guy broke his hand, will mis AT LEAST 3 games. Holly sh*t... thanks for the update.
We'll see what happens, VAL wasn't the greatest game changer, but I just want to see him play.

So we still can't rule out amputation and his career ending

Jonas Valanciunas saw hand specialist Dr. Herb von Schroeder (Toronto Western) on Sat. Surgery will not be required; expected out 4-6 wks.

No surgery is a good thing. Hopefully during his break he can work on his stamina/conditioning. Maybe a left handed jump hook too

I've had nothing but bad experiences with the orthopaedic guys at Western. Hopefully this hand guy is better than the surgeons I've seen. Total clowns. Even the radiologists I've dealt with there have been pricks.

I wondering how severe and painful his injury is in general? I mean how operational his hand is now? I never broke my hand so I have no idea, can he even use it? Because if not, so geez, you cant do a thing without your right hand.
