That's true, but unless we're contender's , i don't care because our roster isn't talented enough with gay and that's not a knock on him! we're just not in a position to be adding high priced players to a mediocre roster at this point.
Yeah if we get Rudy we have to add more
If the goal is "be a decent playoff team":
Lowry
RossGay
Milsap
Val
Thats a decent team, I don't like the idea though
How about now?

Dude, no way are we getting Wiggins. Too overrated anyway.

Lowry
DD
Gay
Milsap
Val
Fapworthy.
It's more or less not happening if we are to keep Lowry, DD, and Val.
Here's taking a shot at it though:
TO RAPTORS:
Paul Millsap
Raja Bell
TO JAZZ:
Andrea Bargnani
Terrence Ross
TO RAPTORS:
Rudy Gay
Jared Bayless
Hamid Haddadi
Josh Selby
TO GRIZZLIES:
Jose Calderon
Linas Kleiza
Alan Anderson
Quincy Acy
2nd Rd Pick 2014 (SAC) via Toronto
LOWRY / Lucas / Selby
DEROZAN / Bayless / Bell
GAY / Fields / Pietrus
MILLSAP / Davis / Johnson
VALANCIUNAS / Gray / Haddadi

We wouldn't, much like Memphis wouldn't dump Gay on us for Calderon and scraps even if it did get them under the cap. Also, isn't Millsap 6'7/6'8?

The chances of drafting Wiggins is 25% at best and even then it doesn't eliminate the possibility of still being a treadmill team in the future and Wiggins walking out of TOR in 5 years.

25% at potential greatness seems awesome, considering you can reset on failure and in contrast with the 0% we have been practicing.

Not to mention COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that 2014 is looking to be a stacked draft with at least 2 franchise players.
But yeah lets keep this treadmill going, it's worked well so far right....guys?

25% at best. It's not like tanking until the ping pong ball bounce in your favor is a viable long term strategy. Just look at SAC; no sign of progress after years of drafting in the top 5.
The reality is this team's floor is probably 5th worst at the moment. Besides, after watching "franchise" players like Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Kevin Garnett, Deron Williams etc leave their teams, do you honestly think that simply drafting a blue chip prospect is progress? Especially under this FO?

you lament this FO, but at the same time pine for mediocrity by the same FO? Child please. Make up your mind
