So odd to see fans get riled up at a player talking trash. Like I can't even grasp why that bugs people.

It's not often the Lakers fans have to experience losing for extended periods of time, and their expectations are always sky high. I understand why they're upset but I don't feel sorry for them.

I guess as Raps fans, we're more used to it. God forbid anyone who ever talks down to anything related to the Lakers franchise

As a Laker fan, you're kind of used to people dumping as much as they can when the team is struggling. It's really no different than the reaction the Yankees get when they start losing. You have to dump on them when you can, because they will be back on top very quickly. Personally, I think the way the Lakers are playing, they deserve everything they're getting. The combination of the Lakers and Raptors has actually made me excited about the return of hockey.

here's hoping for a decade + of Laker irrelevancy. theeee luckiest franchise of all-time. so glad they are going through this this season. it's been gr8 to watch them crumble game after game in 'crunch-time'. hollinger had a good piece a few years back (wen kobe was really 'clutch') about how the lakers had the best defense in 5minorless +/-5pt games. he is still shooting the ball well, but the lakers can't make any stops.

WHERE'S THE HERO STUFF NOW, U FANBOIS???? 'CLUTCH' ISN'T REAL. 11TH PLACE IN THE WEST.

LOL, too true. Especially given that taking anonymous pot shots at any and every body is somewhat of a hallmark when posting online.

I can't stand this weak argument.

Boo-hoo. Lawson hasn't won a damn thing in the NBA and hasn't even been in a bloody All-Star game, but feels he needs to spout off on the team that knocked his ass out last spring...sour grapes.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

He's not talking trash about any of the teams that won one of the 16 titles, or the team that beat him last spring. He's talking about the current Lakers. I still don't understand how one can argue, "yeah, well, I have all those titles and stuff." It's just a weak argument is what I'm alluding to.

Well, the team that beat him last spring just happens to have a core of players (Kobe, Gasol, Artest) that have quite recently won championships. It's not like he's calling out the Milwaukee Bucks and I'm sitting here crying, "He can't do that! They won in 1971 with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson!"

He's just bitter, I guess.
