Because casey has a hard on for vets regardless of their playing ability, or lack thereof.

It didn't help that Jose not penetrating didn't open up looks for AA. An aggressive Lowry can get Ross and AA good shots from outside. Unfortunately for this team AA had to bail the offense out and it's outside of his ability. Blame casey for playing the wrong guys.

This is how you know we are getting worse and worse, people are pining for Bargs to come back hahahahah

Have you watched ANY of the games this year? Particularly the ones where Bargs played and was a steaming pile of ass?

Yes but he did have some good games as well. All I'm saying is his shot making ability was Needed when no key could score. Ill agree to disagree b .

Yes Anderson has been solid. He forces a bit but so does Lowry. Ross is the most in need of extra time to correct his many shooting mistakes.
Games like this are where Barg is needed. The culprit here is demar and not AA. with demar embarrassing himself on iso's late in the game...

Bargs and needed don't go together. Demars ISO's were aggressive and sometimes he just got hacked with no call. If ISO's get him to the line I'm all for it. The negativity about Demar is all about those fixated on negativity as a cause celebre and that negativity is just a moving target applied to players who mostly get a big payday when they wear the Raptor uniform. His score sheet wasn't spectacular but he played with intensity. The 7 DD assists lead the team and he finished +2.

Colangelo probably promised him a contract if he does his best Kobe impression.

The only explanation for Alan Anderson's shot selection is that he must be dying of the disease known as "Chuckitupitis" and it's sadly reached the next phase. BC has always had a soft spot for those suffering from the affliction, so he must have granted him 2 NBA seasons to live out his dream as a final wish.

Still pisses me off though.

You know it's out of hand when Double Helix has something negative to say about it

Casey needs to have a sitdown with AA and verbally snap some sense into him, he has been playing out of his element and trying to do too much. He single handedly took Toronto out of that OT last night. Hard to watch.

You'd take the guy averaging 12 PPG on 38% over the guy averaging 17 PPG on 44%?

Anyone here compare Anderson's true shooting percentage with DeMar DeRozan's?

For the 2012-2013 season:
Alan Anderson
TS%: .514
PER: 14.1

DeMar DeRozan
TS%: .510
PER: 13.9

The fact of the matter is Alan Anderson, even when not using advanced stats is still in our eyes a better player and definitely more aggressive. DD has been anti-clutch for a long time too. Alan Anderson is playing better than DD only slightly and that isn't a good sign when DD is our long term SG...

While I like AA very much as I've always, I don't think he should become the 1st option and the go-to guy like last night. I put the blame on the coach.

Don't forget there were also Jose and Lowry on the floor, AA shouldn't be the one taking the last shot, especially after he missed three in a row.

That was partly DD's fault bc DD wanted to take it to the whole and failed..AA was force to shoot that 3

Geddy wrote:That three near the end of overtime where he pump faked a couple of times then got his shot blocked made me laugh in frustration.

Nobody is saying AA is great. But he's the best wing the Raps have had in the BC era other than rentals of Marion or Barbosa.

Give us some real talent on the wings and AA becomes a very solid bench guy in limited minutes.

The overall lack of big time talent on the roster exposes all the second and third level talent we have and makes the fans angry at them. Its not the players fault. Its BC's fault.

He shoots 38% ... I have no idea why people are vouching for this guy to continue getting looks. I mean, its just embarrassing to read some of this stuff. There is nothing that indicates that he is an NBA caliber player, he is a chucker that belongs in the d-league, he's lucky BC fetched him from there in the first place.

Do you know how easy it is to look half way decent on the Raptors ? ask Mike James.

Like I said before his true shooting percentage is almost the same as DeMar's but is also higher by 0.004. He chucks yes but DeMar does even less in crunch time.
