JO would be perfect here - Id love to have him mentor our bigs.
The Suns firing Gentry was just a bad move - he is not the reason that team isn't going anywhere - he's a decent coach
Even JV is makin' a whole lotta mistakes and probably if we were playin' for the playoffs there would be situations where he would be comin' out' - Dwayne Casey

My understanding is that Hunter wants to use Beasley more at the four;
Which will cut into JO's minutes substantially and he sure as heck ain't happy about it.

JO: "This franchise has to be the most bush league in the Association. You guys have no class. I've played in Toronto and EVEN THAT PLACE treated us better than you guys!"
GM: "HOW DARE YOU COMPARE US WITH THE RAPTORS!"
TEAM REPORTER: "Did you hear that!? JO told him the team is worse run than the Raptors!?"
TEAM REPORTER #2: "He didn't!"
TEAM REPORTER: "He did!"
GORTAT: "Sh/t is becoming very real!"

Trade Gray for O'Neal straight up (or, as the aforementioned dream come true, JO + Wes for Bargnani). He'd be a great addition to our team working with JV and especially Ed Davis. He'd be a good pairing with Amir if healthy.

Berger had the story wrong. It wasn't Hunter, it was Suns GM Lance Blanks who JO was yelling at. He's corrected it now:
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ken-b ... -new-coachAs the Suns have come unraveled with their third consecutive non-winning season and a coaching change, the frustration has spilled over into the locker room.
Veteran Jermaine O'Neal and general manager Lance Blanks were involved in a heated, expletive-filled argument after interim coach Lindsey Hunter's first practice Monday, league sources confirmed to CBSSports.com. One person familiar with the tirade called it a "clearing of the air," but there are many issues remaining for the Suns to clear up before Hunter makes his coaching debut Wednesday night in Sacramento.
Among them, sources said, is O'Neal's concern about what his role will be under the new coach. Though O'Neal and Hunter never had any personal issues before, sources said O'Neal's concern may have stemmed from his sense of loyalty to Alvin Gentry, who was removed last week in what the team described as a mutual parting of the ways. Hunter is known to have been Blanks' choice to succeed Gentry.
Another player said to be upset with Gentry's removal is point guard Goran Dragic, a league source said.
Yahoo Sports reported that O'Neal's confrontation with Blanks, in the coach's office, was so loud that players could hear it from the locker room.

There is a Titanic like dysfunction around that franchise now.
When Gentry was fired, management first passed over Elston Turner, his lead assistant, for the interim job. Sarver's go-fer had refused Turner permission last summer to go be lead assistant in Minnesota. Within hours of the decision to choose Lindsay Hunter as the interim, Thunder Dan Majerle quit as an assistant. Many of the players had advocated for Majerle to get the interim job. Majerle had said he would stay if Turner got the job. Turner hasn't been attending practises since he got screwed over.

So sad that the most useful/well-known people in that organization are now the medical team.

Sadly the Raptors are not that far ahead...

there are tiers when it comes to assessing the best and worst teams in the NBA.
I would not place the Raptors on the same tier as the Wiz, Kings, Bobcats, Hornets or the last few years of the Suns.
such a big gap between those tiers.

Have you seen him play lately? His hot streak is over. Dude can't move. In January he's shooting below 30% from the floor...

If we are trading Gray for him, we probably would want him in a similar role. Less than 10MPG. Minimal game impact. Tell him he as an assistant coach's chair warm for him for next year, so he's not worried about playing for one more contract. He might be great to unleash on Ed, Amir, and JV.

I watched almost every game. He can still play, but he is not getting any playing time.

The fact that JO is naturally an angry guy, and he's been in at least 10 scraps over his entire nba career.
