DeMar is currently 23 years old, and is in his 4th NBA season. Can you even confidently tell me he is currently better than sophomore DeMar?
The only thing separating the two is that current DeMar is 10 lbs heavier than in 2010-2011. Otherwise, you have someone who gets heavy starter minutes, can't create for himself or others, underdeveloped on defense, can't shoot from three, inconsistent from mid-range, and can't provide anything outside of points.
So that's two years where "gym rat" DeRozan hasn't improved by the slightest. If he truly is a gym rat, this has got to be disheartening. What's the point of working so hard when you can't improve on anything?
