Post-Trade/Game Presser:

Casey: We just felt we could win the game with 3 guys capable of passing the ball. We had to bench Rudy because he just doesn't bring what Alan does and that's a veteran man with toughness

Grange: But Rudy has played more games in the NBA than Alan?

Casey: Don't matter because we get popped, apology, back to Canada. So I was just like I am going to go with the distributors tonight and I think if we keep practising at it, we'll get it sooner than later. As long as the ball keeps being distributed someone is bound to score.

Doug Smith: You decided to go with Kleiza at the 5, have you been reading my blog?

Casey: No. Tom told me I can play whoever I want and we needed spacing. I mean I had 4 3 pt shooters out there and I just felt like we needed a 5th.

Random RGM Fan: We were out-rebounded in the 4th quarter again mostly on the offensive glass. Is there a reason you prefer to lose the game by 1 or 2 points versus winning with a better line up?

Casey: No. This ones on our execution. We need to get the ball more to Alan. Rudy just has been taking way too many shots and it's not working. Alan is a veteran he needs more shots to get hot. From Day 1 I have seen Alan develop from a 31 year old D-Leaguer to a 31 year old Euro Leaguer. Only time will tell if he can take that next step and get us to the play-offs.

Wouldn't signing a backup PG and keeping a 2nd make more sense?

I mean the suns just got Morris for a 2nd. A 2nd for Telfair doesn't seem fair.

I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

No f'n thanks. He hardly constitutes an upgrade on JL3. Not even as if Bassy is some distributor.

Maybe we could pick up Markieff for a 2nd rounder... :)

I have no interest in Telfair at all. I'd rather just sign some D-League guy to sit on the bench as a 3rd stringer.

I think OKC caves on their 1st for Maynor and accept a 2nd. I mean really? He's a FA you won't re-sign no chance you get a 1st.

jokes aside i've always been a big proponent of what chemistry can do for a team and especially one like the Raps.
Glad to hear BC seems to be cognizant of the core he's putting together

We keep going after the wrong group of friends ... When we had Bosh we should have tried to get his friends Wade and James.

Isn't Telfair good enough to be a back up pg and not a third string pg like most people are suggesting?

Ryan Wolstat ‏@WolstatSun
Haddadi for Telfair remains likeliest if that gets done. Suns love saving money and that would save them $200K or so. Might want a 2nd too

first, **** RealGM

second, i wouldnt trade a 2nd rounder for Telfair. I dont see what that accomplishes.

Phoenix is his 7th team in 8 years.

Team politics have nothing to do with how Telfair's career has progressed. He's just another playground hero who looks way better than he actually is thanks to his handle and swagger.

He'll add about as much value as Lucas, which is fine... every team needs a 3rd PG I guess. I wouldn't give up a 2nd for him though.

It better not be that Sac 2nd Rounder

Because it rhymes with 'Olajuwon'.

Is that as much noise as we're making at the deadline? A 2nd rounder for Sebastien frikken Telfair?

Yeah, they're not getting a first AND an expiring but a future 2nd is not enough. I would offer Acy in place of a pick.
