OT - Morey or Colangelo???

I have to admit...I think Daryl Morey is one crazy dude with his advanced statistics and all...but you have to admit...what he's done in the last 2 seasons to recover from losing Yao Ming and T-Mac is nothing short of amazing.

What he's done this past offseason up until now is dizzying and no one can ever accuse him of being gun-shy.

The entire Rockets roster has been overhauled from 2 years ago and it's all for the better. Being able to pull off getting James Harden is easily the jewel in his crown...but you have to admit...Omer Asik is earning his big contract and Jeremy Lin, while he isn't as good as his contract, he's more valuable to Houston than Landry Fields is to us. Chandler Parsons is great value for a 2nd round pick.

At the same time...parlaying Patrick Patterson and Cole Aldrich into Thomas Robinson is HUGE. All this, while they still have Donatas Montejunas and Royce White...who both have loads of potential.

Morey's put Colangelo and his track record to shame.

it helps that the refs give harden every single call known to man despite him initiating all the contact.

IKEA Monkey or Colangelo would be a better comparison

That's like asking, "Cake or a pile of dog sh*t?"

Landslide Morey. BC only dresses better if that counts for anything.

This is a 20 year plan. We need to give Bryan more time to truly reap the benefits of "the Braintrust"

Morey is a cool dude tbh. He did an AMA on reddit a few months ago

Presti vs. Morey is a better question.

Lol Morey was **** until that Harden trade. The man fired JVG and Addelman. Still he's in a different galaxy to Colangelo. I could do a better job than BC that's how bad he is.

What roster moves were ****?

Also, the events leading up to the Harden trade are what made that trade possible...

Hmm I would say that question is almost as bad as Morey vs BC. One good move doesn't make Morey anywhere near as good as Presti. Nor does that trade take the shine off Presti because he really had no choice. His owner didn't want to go into the tax.

Things are pretty easy when you get handed Durant. Followed by 2 top 5 picks.

There's multiple ways the Thunder could have kept Harden and stayed out of the tax.

What do you think Wade/Pierce/Durant/Lebron/Every-Elite-Wing-Player does?

Why are you guys giving Presti so much credit? His franchise tanked for almost a decade, and almost his entire roster is made up of quality 1st round picks. It doesn't take a genius to build an amazing team after having consecutive top 5 draft picks for years.

OKC is the Pittsburgh Penguins of the NBA.

compare BC to the Wizards or Kings GM not to a boss like Morey who has changed the Rockets fortunes in 1 offseason.

Harden would not make the money he is making in Houston...and conversely...having a 6th man making $15 million a year is not smart use of your money. It would also mean that you give up on your defensive anchor Serge Ibaka.
