No. No other athlete has ever been booed. Andrea Bargnani has been dealt the worst hand in life that anyone that lives, has ever lived, and ever will live has been dealt. A GOAT career ruined by Raptor fans, a GM, Chris Bosh, and even Jesus Christ. Everyone has made Andrea Bargnani's career what he is today, except Andrea Bargnani of course.

You and everyone else w/ this argument is missing the point.

We get that Bargnani has had a s**t career in Toronto. We know, he knows, everyone knows. Does that really justify now booing him every home game for the rest of the season? How do you think that will make the rest of the lineup feel, esp when they now have to go to twitter to plead with fans to stop.

Pretty embarrassing.

The idea that we're collectively some horrible, classless fanbase for booing him is totally asinine. Gtfo with this fairy tale bs. Teams with histories of excellence would have already chewed him up and spit him out. THAT is the unique thing here. LA, Boston, and especially NY would have destroyed Bargnani. No other fanbase would have been as patience as we were with him. Period.

This entire situation is, at the end of the day, his own fault. And BC's own delusionalism for not accepting reality. His stock is not going to rise.

This isn't some special, isolated incident. The fans are far, far, far more supportive of such a historically incompetent team than that should be.

So what are we supposed to do applaud him for getting out-rebounded by someone a foot shorter because of lack of effort? Maybe we should throw roses onto the court and ask for an encore.

People are fed up with him, and the fact that they boo him shows the fans actually care about this team and want to win. Bargnani looking disinterested to the fans who pay to watch the game is like an employer paying a lazy employee, would not encourage him to not be lazy but would yell at him to get better or GTFO.

Yes, and I don't think any player has ever been this lazy, clueless and disinterested. I mean Barfs is making Hedo look like Kenneth Faried.

I agree with R07.

Bargs deserves the boos, but when the team is winning this becomes a distraction. This situation is so blown over proportion at this point. Its clearly affecting his game, 0/2 13 mins. Bargs is a key piece to this team going forward this year and into the future because of his contract. Lets all just hope he has a string of good games and this becomes a smaller story.

Baseball players get booed often, usually when they're in a slump or when pitchers give up a bunch of walks or runs in an inning. Quarterbacks in the NFL get booed for having bad games. I remember Michael Vick being booed in games last season. Booing Bargnani isn't unique to Toronto, and fans of other big time teams in all leagues have booed their players in the past.

Also, how much of the booing has to do with the culture surrounding this franchise. When outsiders were saying that the Raptors fan base was childish for booing VC, T-Mac, and Bosh most people responded by saying that it was the right of fans to boo and cheer for whoever they wanted. Sure the situations were different and those were former players, but now Raptors fans have sort of become well known for booing and they use it like a tool at their disposal.

The rest of the lineup feel? First, I don't believe Barfs feels anything. The guy's likely a sociopath, incapable of feeling normal human emotion. Second, if the other players care at all, they'd probably be happy that this clown is finally being called out. 7 years of Bizarro world where down is up, wrong is right, and Barfs is a superstar. Enough already. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

LOL no. The "Fans" around these parts want to be right about the Raptors being a bad team more then they want us to win. Just look how much bitchier the board has got since they traded for Gay and went 7-3. You'd think people would be happy we were finally winning, but nope, its not about that its about capspace and draft picks and if you dont support us building that way then youre just a dumb homer for supporting this "10th seed machine". The shadow of Bargs is the only outlet they have left to bitch about past bad personal moves, once hes gone it will be down to booing Casey as their blind hatred of BC consumes them in a fit of rage and their heads explode as Rudy Gay sticks a playoff series game winner.

LOL, the fanbois have active imaginations! It's a new story every year with them. Each year more creative and more crazy than the last!

Exactly. Do you honestly think that a team with the expectations of consistent greatness would deal with Bargnani's crap. Especially considering how they've throughly seen what it takes to win and what kind of playing style is needed. No, they'd quickly see that Bargnani is the antithesis to it and start packing his bags.

NY Knicks fans are far harsher, and they are still a prime FA destination.

The caliper test was clearly a lie. *sigh*

"The test showed that Bargnani is virtually oblivious to what others think of him. And his tremendous ability to block out such potentially negative pressures enables him to focus completely on the task at hand. So the expectations and anxieties that come with being the No.1 pick, or the only Italian-born player in the league, or even taking a game-winning shot, don't even register with him."

LOL Not a fanboi just a regular fan who cheers for his team to win. Some people dont understand that behaviour and think being a fan is about bitching about the glories of capspace and draft picks on internet message boards. If you dont want the Raptors as currently constructed to succeed as a team then do us all a favour and gtfo!

Id have to agree there. NY fans boo at everything. Like literally everything. Theyre the worst. They heckled Galinari when he was drafted and chanted USA USA and yelled at him to take his pizza and go back to Italy, all because they had deluded themselves in thinking they were going to get OJ Mayo that year, who Galinari has turned out to be better then anyways LOL Now Gallo lights up Melo and the Knicks whenever he plays them and shuts up the garden crowd. Booing Barganni at the start of the year I can totally understand, but hes worked himself back into shape and is trying to become a productive rotation player on this team. Hes not even the third option anymore and has little impact on whether we win or lose but some "fans" will keep booing him as an outlet for their hatred against BC for not "tanking properly" LMAO so pathetic.

Oh another thing that pisses me off is when some of the "fans"
Say it's thier right to boo bc they spent money on this team,
Well guess what I've spent money over the years and that is no excuse
To act like an classless obnoxious ass hole, guys really if you have to bring
Up money then you should spend it somewhere else cause its
A ugly look....

Yeah, I really enjoyed this play here: http://www.nba.com/raptors/video/2013/0 ... Y3-2394113

That block and straight three pointer by Lowry was great.

Oh, don't mind me. Thought I'll talk about basketball for a bit. Good win boys.

That's called being proactive! Now they are a much better team because of it. The Raps are still hot garbage, and the only thing they have to show for it is mushy primo pasta and watery tasteless primo sauce!

all the haters make me laugh...all I hear is that he is "he is making 10 million dollars"...so tomorrow if I make a salary that is above the national average does that mean I am no longer a human and don't have feelings...Support YOUR team support YOUR players...at the end of the day the jersey says TORONTO and what I have seen from Andrea is professionalism. He has not complained about his limited touches and he goes out there does what he is asked to do. The guy is scared to shoot now thanks to the sheep that are our fans...you guys scared a shooter from shooting congratulations and yeah without him we would not be able to contain opposing bigs... like it or not he is our best post defender because he has the strength to handle players like Randolph unlike the rest of the roster...I hope our fans show class and support our players if not I look forward to the day he is traded and blows up another team and makes us all look foolish...without a doubt GMs are trying to buy low on Andrea because they know he is a dangerous piece to a championship /playoff team....players already have a million excuses not to sign here we just gave them another giant one...

Raptors are 7-3 since they traded for Gay. Does this factor into your analysis of the team? Nope, bitching about pasta is way more logical. No reason to be happy about our current squad, the same squad that Bargnani hardly plays in and has beaten the knicks twice already. Time to boo Bargnani was years ago, now he has no impact on the team so if a fan boos him it just makes them look like a giant douche. Smh giant douche fans, smdh..
