I think the Lakers and Celtics have also taken a look at him.

His dribble is very high, and with the quickness of NBA athletes, you probably don't want him handling the ball very much. However, he looks like a fluid player, and with those kinds of physical attributes, he could be a very intriguing prospect.

Ideally, he should be drafted at the end of the first round. Whoever drafts him would stash him in Europe to hone his game then bring him over when he is ready.

Now, he will probably get drafted too high and they bring him over right away when he is not ready.

TheAlchemist wrote:Lacking explosiveness and finishing over length is a serious issue when you're 6'10. That means he has no hops or athletic ability, at all, and plays very very under the rim. Seems like if he can mitigate that issue and learn to shoot well, he can turn out to be an all star. But saying that, that is a VERY unlikely thing to happen. The shooting can be fixed, but explosiveness is something innate to a player, as well as hops. You can't just develop these traits.

He seems pretty explosive to me with that quick burst off the floor after he does his D-Wade like side steps, full/half-spins and hop steps. I think he's weak overall that once he invites the contact on his drive he can't finish through it. This is why having strong shoulders help when guys body you up mid-air and you can still get the layup off as you get fouled with that separation.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

a point forward. Just because he's got the body of an SF doesn't mean he should be limited to post-ups, spot up shooting, and midrange shots off the dribble.

Exactly.. Point forward.

Labelling him as a PG is a clever marketing ploy, by his manager?

Now he just needs to average a triple double and shoot over 50% from the field.

In this case, that might be a good thing. Maybe BC can finally get a 2nd round steal.

Hey you laugh, but my theory is as legit as any. And really, do we want BC throwing out money to anyone else? Do we want BC throwing more against the wall to see what sticks?

No money has been thrown, yet, BC is doing due diligence that every GM should. It doesn't matter where the talent is from, if he can play and play well you take a look at him.

Why doesn't BC just wait until the Spurs have approved of him? Then we go after him for real.

We could have a pretty tall starting line up:

PG-Adetukunbo
SG-Bargnani
SF-Gay
PF-Amir

This.

I was expecting everyone to be up in arms over this article until I read "Masai Ujiri". Then I knew exactly how this thread was going to play out.

He's got pretty good handles for his position and given that he's 19 it wouldn't be outrageous to take a chance on him. Sort of reminds me of a Quincy Miller.
