my interpretation is that they want to bring a d-league team to Canada.

Q: Masai, do you feel pressure representing Africa?

A: I do feel pressure there. For a continent that big and that great, I have no other choice but to be successful. That comes from putting the organization I work with first. That comes with winning. That's going to help over there. For me, financially, that really helps me in Africa, because I can go and do more. I can go and help more people. We can build more courts. We can do more camps. We can help more kids come to school in the States, and I can continue to help with the NBA and the platform they've created for basketball without borders. They gave me the opportuinty to be director of basketball without borders 10 years ago, which has grown exponentially. (OK I'm taking a break.)

Q: Masai, have you communicated with any of your new players?

A: I have with a couple and I'm in the process of communicating with the rest. I think all of that will be done today. There's good excitement. I'm in a good place where I feel like I can give these guys a lot of confidence. I've put them in a good place. This is the team for now, and that's where you want it to be.

I feel like this team of Tim and Masai could grow the sport, or rather the popularity of the sport in Canada.

BC questions are normal. MLSE made a horrible decision and created this kind of controversy. Live with it.

MU probably wants BC gone badly so he won't have to deal with it anymore. Sounds good to me.

I do like how he downplays any influence BC may have but still best to rid the franchise of him

Are they not allowed to ask specifically about certain players? I'm guessing not.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Q: How much in Denver was your philosophy judged by the altitutde, the roster?

A: I think it's different. My staff, and talking to DC, that philosophy will be figured out. In Denver, I think George Karl has a great basketball mind and a hall of fame coach with how he wanted to play. I think Josh Kroenke had a good vision of what he wanted. Young players, energetic, athletic, they run, take advantage of that altitude and just play and build on young players. FOr me, that's a strength. That's what I mentioned ealrier. We have to develop young players. Especially in the back of our roster where you know at least you're growing something. So regardless of what direction you take, you have those young players that you're going to rely on in the future. So again, I hate to sound repetitive, but once the staff is in place, and I talk to Dwane at length, we'll figure out. But there's a good thing going. I think Bryan has brought some good pieces with this team, and we'll build on that. Everybody sees it sometimes as negative. Guys, I look at some of the games you guys played, and there's probalby about 4-5 games that didn't go your way in terms of calls. I apologize David and Adam. But I think there are a few games here and there to be won. Training camp, building a team, from where everybody's together, some very good young players, there's something to build. I think Bryan did a good job with some of the young pieces here.
