He's basically Paul George.

I think "concerns" is too light a word for what we're seeing right now.

He should be earning about 16 million less than he is right now. He should be playing garbage minutes for a playoff team

There's really nothing to be concerned about. You know, if you don't look at the score sheet.

He takes a lot of bad shots, but he also ends up with the ball with the shot clock down so he is forced to take a lot of bad shots too. There's not a lot of creativity on offence either from Casey or the players. But I think it's more of a talent issue, too much iso-ball talent, not enough court vision talent. A trade is seriously needed to find a better player composition if we want to save the treadmill.

That's what bothers me most about Rudy. He doesn't even look like a professional basketball player some nights. He looks like a rookie forcing his game.

He's being cast in the role as the first option, and he sees himself as the first option, when he really isn't a first option. We've seen this with Andrea. Rudy isn't good enough to make plays where the ball just falls into the lap of a teammate for an easy bucket. But his teammates at the same time aren't smart enough to move without the ball to give him an easier target. The coach doesn't help either when it comes to offence. So he just forces up his shot, which is usually a bad shot these days.

[quote="Master Ze"]I think it comes down to his motor, some nights he relentlessly looks to score. Nights like tonight he looks like he's not even trying.

It is very clear to me management has been on Rudy to PASS the ball the last few games

Tonight was a deliberate FU to everybody when he passed the ball with seconds left

This was likely the 1st time in NBA history that Rudy had the ball in his hands with less that 10 seconds & passed the ball rather than take it to the basket where he would have the best chance to score or get fouled

It was a complete 1 on 1 isolation with a wide open center but passed to Amir instead
Not a brilliant play but a deliberate play by Rudy

We gotta move Gay. This is getting really out of hand now. He hasn't even looked much better than Sonny Weems this year.

It sure looks that way, doesn't it?

Its amazing just how badly he is playing. Obviously needs a tightly structured offense to keep him under control because when you let him do what he wants he is not even a full MLE type player.

Rudy Gay is on pace to be the most selfish and least efficient chucker in league history. No one even comes close to shooting 37.5% while jacking up 18.9 + shots. You have to go back all the way to the days of Bob Cousy to find someone with a lower FG% with 19+ shots a game.

Every couple of seasons the Raps find a player to fascinate the fanbase by setting historically bad stats. First it was Bargs and his pathetic rebounding. Now it's Gay with his inefficient chucking.

for the record, Gay and Lowry are two of my least favorite players in raptors history. i dont know what it is about this team, but I just dont like them as much as years past. We have so few likable players.

That's something almost all primary scorers are expected to go through. The fact is Gay as a player is not and should not be a team's primary scorer. He can't handle that aspect, just look at him running down the clock on the last possession this past game.

He was just as bad as a grizzly you just didn't notice because he wasn't a beloved raptor ...
