I made a thread awhile ago about trading Ross and Val for wiggins but with the way things are going I could see a derozan for wiggins deal being possible. I love derozan he is my favourite player but think of having tross and wiggins on the wings. A lot like VC and T-mac, and having Val in the post, a lot like Chris Bosh.

Ross will go for a dunk on a guy if he has the chance EVERY TIME.

The issue is that when he drives, he's so quick he usually is past his man and tries to do a fancy move.

We've seen it with 360 spin layups, with up and unders, with that beauty teardrop he's developed.

Once he gains some muscle, size and bulk on his frame (which is very lithe and agile) he will be unstoppable. It just comes with time.

I think JV had the same kind of body until the training staff put 20 lbs of upper body weight on him and completely sapped his bodies development.

Ross needs to improve attacking the basket and drawing fouls as well as having a postgame to be more sucessful. Although he is not a number one option right now i could see him potentially being one down the road.

In terms of athleticism, I put him in the same range as John Wall. It's really impressive. However, his ball handling will always hold him back unless he makes huge strides there. But it'll become more passable in time. He's just not in the same class as your Westbrook/Wall/Rose. He's never been in a system where he's had to handle the ball excessively like those guys. Just wasn't developed in that way unfortunately, otherwise he would be a very different player.

Ross will be a future superstar, his defense is already elite and once he works on his handles he will be an all star. Most underrated part of his game is his passing ability he's had some nice dimes this year

I'm one of Ross' biggest supporters around here, and was before the draft (I'm the guy who started the "Why isn't Ross a lottery pick" thread on the draft board before the draft) and I still think this thread is a bit out there.

I do think he'll end up the best all around guard from his draft, but...manage your expectations buddy. That's all I'm going to say.

I'm a Ross homer but I don't think he becomes a superstar. I do however, see him making an all defensive team in his career.

This is reply to your post. I agree with you that you cannot build a new self-image by pure willpower or by arbitrarily deciding to but I disagree that it can't change. Well it's possible mate by using the process called "theatre of the mind" -Imagining your new self-image for 21 days(I don't want to go too deep lol but it was also use to cut off addiction and life in general).

In terms of eye test, he is willing to drive but the skill is not there yet what you're seeing right now is just his raw talent( first step, quickness, vertical ability, etc.) Next year, you'll see an ever improving Ross...baby lol!!

Ross is more talented than demar in every aspect of the game. There should be a lot more hype then what already is.
