TRoss has more potential

Does TRoss have Demars work ethic though?

Who knows. But if TRoss works as hard as Demar he'll surpass him for sure.

Ross has more potential but he's not consistent.

T-Ross definitely needs to learn to drive and draw fouls consistently. Hes got the long range game but creating his own shot and getting to line needs alot of work.

I love Ross but doubt he ever puts up the numbers Demar did this year mainly because he will never be the go to guy. Also factor in demar is incredible at getting to the line and I doubt we ever see Ross match demar on O. He already has him beat on D however. I see Ross as a Pippen to Demars Jordan, of course both are hobo versions of the two , lol.

Defensively: T-Ross easily
Offensively: DeMar easily

Don't think T-Ross will ever be able to create for himself on a consistent basis. He is a good 3-D player but nothing more

This thread again.

DeMar is on his way to being "that guy" and though we can't tell what Ross will bring to the table for years to come, from the looks of it, he's accepting this 3+D role and not necessarily showing signs he'll be any more than that. Is that a bad thing? No, because we drafted him specifically to be a GREAT 3+D guy.

DeMar is the better player, and he's only a year older. It's hard to say Ross will surpass DeMar as a player, especially on this team.

Ross is a 3 and D guy. I seriously doubt he'll ever become an all-star. So DeMar.

TRoss is a crossbreed between MJ and Allen. Should be a starting SG and logging heavy minutes.

I find it funny that Ross is so underrated among the media in Toronto but so overrated among Raptor fans here

When I listen to reporters/media talk about the Raptors, I want them to talk more about Ross but on here, people need to stop calling him a future superstar

T-ross vs DeMar - Potential wise?

Post#18 » by Double Helix » Wed Apr 16, 2014 3:08 am

They're good together. Ross is only 1.5 years younger than Derozan though and far too many Raptors fans seem to forget that when talking about Ross' incredible ceiling vs Derozan peaking.

Ross is a phenomenal athlete with incredible perimeter defensive upside and a terrific 3 point shot. Even if he keeps improving just on the 3+D role and becomes elite at that he'll be incredibly valuable just as guys like Jimmy Butler and Tony Allen are.

They're totally different players which is why they work well together. Ross will have problems with Bron, Mello and Durant but the list of SFs who don't have problems with those 3 is comically short.

Potential wise Ross takes it easy. What Demar has at an elite level is a work ethic. If you apply the same work ethic Demar has to Ross, Ross would surpass DD.

It all depends on Ross' motivation though & how hard he's willing to work. I think he'll be fine & can see him being an above-allstar calibre player. Only time will tell
