The Toronto Raptors rebuilt their fan base

We've done it. It happened a lot quicker then I thought it would. We likely did a really good rating and I think the turnout at Maple Leaf Square was the largest of the 4 games - and it will be massive for game 5.

This series was what the media and people of Toronto needed to take this team seriously. They have sold about 1500+ NEW Seasons Tickets for next season....NEW....not renewals.....but actual NEW tickets.

This team has to beat Brooklyn in round 1.....I knew it from the start.....go Raptors!!

Fans built the fan base. The team has given us very little, so they absolutely do not deserve credit. We always had this fan base.

Yeah I don't understand it either. There are a lot of visible minorities though - which is GREAT. This is what Toronto is.....the first time "real" Toronto has been seen on TV for North America to see.

I love the We The North theme. It gives our fans that 'us against them' mentality, and I love it.

Exactly. Love the raps crowd!

Leafs have a massive following but a shot of them makes Toronto look like Winnipeg. Most diverse crowd in the NBA, love it. That's Toronto

The TSN hockey guys doing this Dallas/Anaheim game were just talking about the raptors. I doubt that has ever happened before. I really hope TSN airs most of the games on the main network next season, no more of this secondary channels BS every other game

This city is so diverse. The Raps will never be the #1 team in town but they could still be a massive draw.

Immigrants from India, China, etc don't give a **** about the Leafs... But a lot of them could become Raps fans. I know all sorts of Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese, etc. from work that have converted to Raps fans since the playoffs began.
