Minute adjustment has been considered. Hayes has been playing more than we hoped or realized.
All data is from NBA.com, and the player criteria required to be considered was playing at least 25 minutes per game for 30 games and facing at least 4 shot attempts at the rim.

ZBo was a cancer, but still a dangerous offensive player and not yet in his prime. His problem wasn't that he sucked, but tended to make boneheaded plays. He put it together mentally after visiting Africa and seeing what they're living conditions were like. Boozer just sucks period. He's past his prime and regressing on both ends of the court.

Doesn't matter what Love is called or what he does, he's a better player than Boozer ever was.

Blatche was a better player than Boozer last season and it doesn't matter what he wants, he doesn't deserve the MLE.

Can u come up with a real argument?

Man, Hayes just gives away buckets. lol. This confirms what many of us already know. The Raps need a backup center with some size. It would awesome if Bebe could be a rim protector for us. Otherwise, expirings for a backup center at the deadline.

Hayes is undersized and unathletic, which makes him pretty useless on shot contest at the rim. His worth is in positional defence, and preventing guys from getting comfortable in the low block in the first place.

Like ZBo, but he punched a guy and had to sit game 7. Wouldn't want Boozer in Toronto but to call him washed up is a stretch. He was on a bad contract. Same with Josh Smith and Rudy Gay. Both are victims of a terrible contract.

So the bigs that can shoot a mid-range shot have free buckets. :(

If you put it that way... yea. Thats why Hayes should only be brought in against bruising bigmen. They would try to go after Hayes which would play into our hands. Our other guys can handle Stretch or Athletic Bigmen. This team is made up of guys we can use to counter the other team.

There is probably a very short list of players Hayes would be used against. Jeffersen, ZBo, David Lee, Cousins etc.

Yep, Casey needs to limit his minutes as much as possible, maybe 28 a game and let Patterson take up more time.

The only issue with that is Patterson's defense, or lack thereof. As long as JV takes the steps forward that are needed to become a better paint protector then I am all for playing PP more minutes. Until that happens, Amir should take the bulk of the PF minutes considering he is the best defending big man on the team.

I would leave them. Hayes was crucial in locking down Cousins which eventually won us that Home game. Ditto Randolph. I would have to recheck the Hornets games but im sure we didnt use Hayes much.

They eat JV up. It isn't strength but guile. JV needs to step up since Hayes is expiring and we can't keep hiding JV against low post specialists.

Interesting to see what a poor rim protector Varejao is.

It also shows how all the best big men are out west.
Joakim Noah is the best center in the East, as highlighted by the defense and PER of 20.

Interestingly, it shows how valuable Gortat is, he has the same PER as Andrew Bogut at around 17.5, but opponents shoot 5% worse against Bogut. 5% is also the difference between Hibbert and Noah.

Robin Lopez is criminally underrated, he also has a PER of 17.5 but plays on a team with a relative high pace.

He's also just as efficient as Amir.

If we didn't already have Valancuinas, I would definitely want him on the Raptors.

True. Pretty crazy he still plays 95%+ of games.
