OT: Which Player Makes An Impact On Their New Team?

I'm excluding Lebron because we all know exactly what he will bring to Cleveland but I was just curious how some of you rank the impact these players will have on their new teams. I was thinking about adding Lou Will but the homerism would be over whelming.

Parsons has the potential to become one of the best shooters in this league and average 20 plus points per game while Stephenson has the potential to become one of the most rounded player in the league and a stat sheet stuffer, around 18-7-7 if given the role of a primary ball handler. I would give it to Stephenson because he is a better ball handler, defender and brings more energy, swagger and confidence to this young hornets team.

I think one of the players you forgot was Paul Pierce. Sure, he's not an Ariza replacement, but I his defence, shooting, ball handling skills and experience will be useful for the Wizards. Not to mention, he is able to close out games for you as well, which is a bonus.

Chandler Parsons for me, but my darkhorse is Rodney Stuckey. One thing that Indiana really lacks is a player that can draw fouls and get to the line for them. Stuckey does that, and he's a decent enough scorer and playmaker to somewhat fill the void of Lance Stephenson.

Yeah you are right. His close out skills are lethal.

How crazy would it be if we faced him and the Wizards next year in the playoffs. I feel we would lose to them just because he knows how to close out games. I would dread every possession he had for the BKN. It looked like it was going in everytime.

I was so glad he was cold during our series. It would've been a completely different series if he was shooting over 48%...

I like Stephenson but he might miss not starting next to a shooter like PG.

I feel he was the mvp of that series. Dude would have control of his team and always hit his shots at the right time. Everytime we would cut the lead it was Pierce that was either making a shot or assisting on a play or getting a defensive stop.

I was hoping he stayed in Brooklyn so we could redeem ourselves. Now that he is a Wiz I'm convinced, if we play them in the playoffs, we will lose to them because of how much impact he makes on a team. Should have definitely had him on the list.

You are absolutely right about Pierce's presence during the playoffs. Honestly, it's not even when he was in a Nets jersey. He always killed us whenever he played against the Raptors...whether if it was in Boston or...oh yeah, he only played in Boston...

Yes, we should definitely look out for him whenever plays us...even at this age. He always finds a way to give Raps fans heartattacks.

Yeah, gotta give it to Lance. Mostly because he is upgrading the position the most out of all of these guys.

Is Pau going to be Chicago's backup C or taking Boozer's PF minutes?

Jameer might have been one to add to the list. Stuck on a team in hard tank mode for the past 2 years with crap players along for the tank ride. He is much better than his stats indicate. He fills the void created by the Jose trade, and fills it very well. Plus, How about Tyson Chandler? If he is back and healthy, this team could make some noise out West next season.

Pierce<Ariza
Parsons>VC, but production won't be that much higher.

Yeah, missing LBJ on that list for sure.

Ariza = Parsons, or pretty darn close if you compare last season's numbers, PER.

Lin? I don't even see him as an upgrade over Marshall. Well, not much of an upgrade.

Stuckey? LOL Stuckey's impact will be similar to JJ's for the Raptors. Noticeable, but worth 2 wins at best.

Asik? Maybe. I haven't seen enough of him recently to decide.

Sweet Lou Williams! Prime Lou could make the Raptors dramatically better. Kid is only 27, and if really fully healed, will lift our second stringers very close to the level of our starters. We'll be the team that other teams hate to play against, because the other teams will have to play their starters for 35 minutes just to hang with us.

James Johnson!

Pau Gasol.

Averaged almost 18, 10 and 3 last year, him and Noah will be the best passing big man combo in the league. People don't realize how skilled pau is. He was the 2nd best player on a laker team that won 2 championships. That's not luck he's a huge upgrade over boozer and I think he will be a huge piece of the bulls this year

Lou Williams. We needed a shot creator and we got one.

i think Jeremy Lin is going to put up very good numbers and have some monster games like in his Linsanity days, but not necessarily have much of an impact in guiding the Lakers to more wins. He'll have a much freer reign than he had in Houston until Kobe returns to full health, and people will see that he's a more than capable starting point guard in this league.

I'm gonna go with KLove wherever he lands. Especially if he ends up in the East. My first runner-up would be Shaun Livinston. I've always liked "Swiss army knife"-type players like Kirilenko, Pippen & Livingston.

It was a tough choice between Lance and Gasol, but I went with Stephenson. I think he has another great year next season and leads the Hornets to a good post-season run. He also might crumble under a bigger responsibility and becomes an inefficient chucker, but I think that is really far fetched. All-star next year definitely.

PS: Really like your board, lot's of fun topics to hang in during the offseason. :)

Pau and Noah throwing back door high-low feeds is gonna be insane. Butler (and if healthy, rose) are going to get so many easy looks.
