Shot at Demar for not playing well when there were no games.

Coach K obviously meant Demar sucks when he uses Raptors in 2K14.

So Demar's going to be begging in malls in 10 years? Someone should stage an intervention.

It sounds like Coach K doesn't need DD's services.

Not sure about context, but it sounds like Coach K is setting the table for Demar to be cut, with the sole reason being not playing well when it didn't count.

Wtf? This sounds like he's giving DeMar props as someone who he may have to keep.

Update: Demar has not performed well outside of live-action. When the team is asked to rest and not do anything Demar goes to the court to run drills and put up shots. Coack K suggested that Demar work with an elite coach next offseason to concentrate on this part of his game. Specifically, to excel at not doing anything for once.

Possibly, but we don't know the context of the statement. Why specifically mention "live action", unless he was specifically asked?

He's been one of their best players, he definitely should stay on the team. Dude looks like Kobe out there.

Maybe the line Coach K is trying to draw is that DD is not effective in practice, messes up or doesn't understand drills, isn't a cohesive part of the team, or something else of that nature. Despite all that, DD is performing well in games and scrimmages. Maybe it's an attitude problem? Obviously we have no way of knowing if any of this is true. It's my 100% made up hypothesis. If any of it holds true, it would explain Coach K's oddly worded comment.

Definitely seems like some odd phrasing/qualifying - especially since the cuts have yet to be made.

Maybe it's just an awkward way of saying he wasn't just good in the games?

I think he's saying he's sucked at team horse, bump, and 21 practice, but he's excelled in scrimmages and games.
