IMO, he's nothing more than an Austin Daye right now. He's long, lean, athletic and can shoot the ball but there is so much more that he needs to learn before contributing to a playoff/conference champ contender. My gut feeling tells me that the raptors will get an affiliate team in the D-league and Bruno will play there for a majority of the season with a few occasional call-ups when injuries starts to pile up. He has good work ethics and a can't lose mentality, he will inevitably hit a few walls but I'm sure he will develop into a good player in a few years.

He's probably already stronger than Austin Daye was when he was a raptor plus Austin is mentally soft as s***. Those two factors right there are the difference between Austin/(Bruno) being an NBA rotation guy vs a fringe player fighting for contracts year after year.

Bruno has a broader frame (can get bigger and play PF) and seems to have a different mental makeup so I don't think the comparison is warranted.

Im talking about right now, not the future. theres no question that Bruno will need to get stronger and tougher because he settled for a lot of long jumpers and floaters instead of driving to the hoop in the summer league.

As for vs. Austin Daye, who knows what the future will bring but all we have to compare so far is Summer League and Austin Daye has killed it in SL every year. So I'm not sure how people are already concluding he's a stronger or more mentally tough player.

He's got a legit release high release, great form, and a quick trigger. That is real potential. Great video.

It'd be nice to see him land a spot at the end of the bench, if only to come in for garbage time every so often or when we really need another 3 point threat on the court. A small role, but it would be a start.

Bruno is a beast he's great at the least ready to dominate the league mostly the east

I love the high release and how consistent he looks shooting from three as an 18 year-old. I see him panning out to be a Rashard Lewis type player. He can shoot, likes to play a bit in the post against smaller guys, and has that sneaky athleticism Lewis had as a young player.

From this video you can see how much Bruno needs to improve. He has to figure out how to score in the post and get the footwork Lewis had. But, watching this, it makes me remember how much I liked that Sonics team and how versatile Lewis was.

People might think he won't turn out, but he came from a very hard background that I think will keep him motivated to be a good NBA player. He seems like such a diligent worker.

There was a taste of this in one of the early SL games, but I'd like to be listening to the other team's feed early next season and have them joke about how Bruno is reputed to be the Brazilian Durant. And then seconds later, he hits a smooth, undefendable shot from 3. And they go quiet.

I take pleasure in things like that.

I'm sure other teams' commentators will keep repeating the "fact" that he's 2 years away from being 2 years away. They sure do their homework before games.
