TL;DR - NBA Live 15 is ok, but 2K15 is still the better overall game.
They've fixed the shooting in the day 1 patch. Defense is also much better. I personally like the quick release but a lot of people seem to feel the same way you do.
The P&R system is better than 2K imo but I agree with you. They need to speed it up.
Did you turn on automotion? Live has automotion off for some reason by default. Automotion=player movement. They move a lot more when it's turned on. Also synergy is just starting to kick in. Most underrated aspect of the game. Synergy updates stats, tendencies, shot charts, playing style all in real time. The CPU is looking much better now and it should continue to improve as the season goes on.
http://www.easports.com/nba-live/news/2 ... rgy-sportsThis technology is why they'll surpass 2K in the CPU/ball movement area imo. 2K's CPU is pretty predictable and repetitive because it's all manually set by 2K themselves. Live has official NBA technology that does it automatically.
Yeah commentary needs more lines. I don't mind the current commentary though. 2K's commentary is more detailed but it gets repetitive pretty quick.
Player scans are a hit and miss. Wade, Cousins look better than anything i've seen in 2K. On the other hand, Taj Gibson looks terrible. They did say that they will add/update more face models as the season progresses. They actually updated quite few in the day 1 patch.
I honestly think Live 16 will be right there with 2K16. 2K is no doubt the better game right now but i'm enjoying Live a lot.
