Rather the raps pay Bill Russell since I see LN game more in that vein.

"With such an accomplished career, Olajuwon has earned enormous credibility when it comes to basketball knowledge. It is perhaps why so many players come back as true believers in his methods after spending time working with him. James in particular has been on record praising his time with Olajuwon, which happened to coincide with the unveiling of a new (and since improved) post game."

Good to see the guys going out to seek this training, whether it be individually or facilitated by the team. Shows they are willing to put the work in. You cant get much repetition in a week, so its up to the players to practice what they were taught on their own time. The players that do (kobe, Lebron, and to some extent Howard), showed a marked improvement in their post game. Cant knock the dream if the players don't put into practice what he teaches!

Looks like the NBA elite are eager for Bebe's mentorship, after he's done such a great job with Bruno.

come on now. can lucas really afford the rumored 50,000 a week amare was paying?

Yeah...because NBA players always pay for their own training, no matter what.

I say this a lot but I wish more big men trained with Bill Walton. Hakeem's Dream Shake was predicated on his elite level reflexes and advanced footwork. Walton was pure skill and IQ. He was the Larry Bird of centers. Walton provides more of what you can teach compared to Hakeem.

I'm beginning to think that the only players with the footwork to benefit from Hakeem's teaching are perimeter players. Guys like Kobe have the coordination to incorporate some of his moves, but 99.9 percent of players simply don't have it. If they did, they would be hall-of-fame candidates themselves. If anything, I'd want Bebe to learn some defensive and rebounding lessons from Hakeem. He's already projected as a rim protector and might pick up the defensive lessons easier.

Russel would be nice. A defensive warrior who anyone interested in winning would be wise to listen to.

What's funny is that a lot of big men struggle to even utilize the post moves taught at the late Pete Newell's Big Man camps. Pete's passed away, but the training is still out there and virtually anyone looking to work on their post game can go to the camp. There's even a book/dvd for crying out loud. lol. Still, all these awkward and sluggish big men can't do the things that have been taught for decades to practically every young post player.
