Landry Fields slacking during the off season?
Hi wrote out to fields on Instagram when he had a pic of him on a cruise and I said sure hope there is a net on that boat! Saying I see Derozan , Lowry , Ross all playing ball.
He replied to me next day , a fool judges a day on a couple pictures haha
Good comeback

OK....forget everything. I have done a thorough analysis of Demar Derozan's instagram and twitter account and have uncovered a serious problem.
Demar Derozan is anorexic.
There is not a single post showing him ingesting anything. Nothing. Not even a single Wheat Thin.
We need to get him some help before he does serious damage. Nutrition is important.
Please Demar....eat a sandwich. PLEASE!!!!!! Don't do this to yourself.

Guys, I have bad news. OP has a condition and it's likely terminal. His head is so far up his own ass that he's running out of air. You can trust me because I'm a doctor...also I looked at his post in this thread and that gave all the proof I needed.

If I had a wife like his, I'd be in shape but constantly out of fluids. Trust, his hip flexors are game.

i can easily see Fields collecting the rest of his 8.5 million and then retire and appear on dancing with the stars or survivor.

Re: Landry Fields slacking during the off season?
Thus Jordan Hamilton...
I think the Raps are more than willing to walk away from the Fields contract.
A little OT but I think expiring contracts like Fields, Hayes and Hansbrough can be moved easier than usual now, especially with rebuilding teams like the 76ers and Jazz willing to pick them up for picks and cash. Also, these teams would also like to avoid the salary cap floor, so picking up, say Hansbrough, with cash and a 2nd round pick would be a good deal for both teams. I think that's how they moved Steve Novak.
So, I can actually see Hamilton replace Fields, if Fields isn't ready, and Stiesma replace one of Hayes or Hansbrough if he plays well in training camp.

Two years from being two years away.

Re: Landry Fields slacking during the off season?
If Masai deems Fields useless in significant trades, waive him. His contract isn't crippling because it expires next season. Might as well use that space to keep Hamilton (who imo is a better SF shooter than Fields). If Masai thinks he can get a guy like Horford using the expiring Ks of Fields and Hayes (and minor assets), then keep him. If not, there's no need to use a roster spot on him... I doubt Fields will get anything more than a min. contract after this season is done.

Didn't Coach Casey challenge him to take the ALS ice bucket challenge? Maybe he decided not to accept.

Field wouldn't be able to make that shot either.

As Fields is not an integral part of this team that should only see garbage minutes, he could be eating Mcdonals for every single meal during offseason for all I care. The guy doesn't strike me as a slacker but either way, don't care.

Wonder if his wife has seen him make the "money shot". #moneyballs

Dwane Casey doesn't have an Instagram account.
How do we know if he even exists?
Somebody hold me.

Do you mean ... like ... a warm, comforting hug? Or a soft, gentle caress?
Hmm ... I don't think I can help you in either case.

Re: Landry Fields slacking during the off season?
smh all you morons with the uncalled for hate on Fields are the same people d-riding him when he locked down JJ.
he is far from a scrub. he's a bench player, a role player, who was overpaid by our former idiot GM thus making everyone in Toronto hate him. He had an injury that has ruined his career, basically ended it, and took away his ability to shoot. He's been put in crappy situations with two teams that have their history of overpaying and expecting too much out of an average player in the Knicks and Raptors.
he knows how to move witout the ball better than most players on the team, he is a good cutter, he doesn't chuck the ball, he rebounds above average for his position, and he's a decent defender. when his number is called, he steps up. when casey made him a starter in that game vs the warriors, he stepped up after multiple DNPs. In the playoffs he was the key to stopping JJ, the ONLY raptor to successfully stop JJ in all 7 games played in that series.
let the man be, he just got married, has a young kid, and is possibly planning his career after this year. We expect an athlete in today's time to not have a social life or personal life and only be training non stop.

The hate Fields gets is beyond ridiculous. Like DH said, he has elite basketball IQ and his shot was ruined by his elbow injury. It's not his fault that BC gave him a huge contract.

Re: Landry Fields slacking during the off season?
OP has multiple inside sources. Go ahead and rag on Fields, but don't make things up. His work ethic has been fine, it is the injury that derailed his career to this point. He was called on a couple times last year where he came in played solid for a guy out of the rotation. A guy with no work ethic would have struggled mightily. Players are human too, you know they have the right to get married, right? I love you assumption that getting married equates to taking the whole summer off.
