Patrick Patterson made his presence felt on the floor for the Raptors in 2013-14, but his impact was also felt when he couldn't suit up. The versatile forward played in 48 games for the Raptors last season -- the fewest among the team's core players -- on account of injuries including a broken nose and right ulnar collateral sprain. When healthy however, Patterson's ability to stretch the floor on offence, play tenacious pick-and-roll defence and step into the starting five seemlessly were huge assets to the Raptors frontcourt.

Check out the Top 10 plays from Patrick Patterson with the Raptors in 2013-14 below.

I've been like a broken record, but this dude is going to be huge for us this year and will get ample PT to put up nice stats. It wouldn't surprise me to see him surpass Amir as a starter at some point (for a variety of reasons), and I love Amir. The floor spacing he provides guys like DD is so important, and makes our offense when we're cycling the ball very difficult to guard.

I agree with you 100%. Patterson has a good mid-range game, he's a corner 3 specialist, great floor spacer, decent pick and roll defender, and he's got some major clutch gene in him. However, i think he is best suited as the backup 4 right now because he's not big enough nor athletic enough to compete against the elite bigs in this league like Love, Aldridge, Z-Bo, Griffin. IMO, his ceiling is David West; a tough stretch 4 with a deadly post up game. He just needs to keep working on his low post game and add more weight.
