Full Raptors TV Schedule Released (pg 7)

Post#1 » by LittleOzzy » Sun Oct 19, 2014 4:13 am

Season is 10 days away, and still no release of the TV schedule. It's pathetic, and it's time to complain.

Send a tweet to @TSN_PR & @SportsnetPR and ask point blank when the schedule will be released.

Put the pressure on both networks to treat Raptor fans better than last season.

______

On a side note, I see all games have moved back to the Fan 590 for radio. I guess TSN radio is no longer interested in airing games. And here I thought TSN/Bell would be more interested in B-Ball with their lack of NHL hockey.

Can't be surprised. Basketball is always disrespected by the networks.

Awesome. Hopefully if they get a 100 or so tweets on the subject in the next 24 hours, they will look into releasing it faster.

TSN has moved its focus to College Hockey. That's what they are replacing the loss of NHL coverage with.

Any night there's no hockey, and the Raps play, book it.

It doesn't matter if TSN plays hockey or not.

You must surrender to the hockey! If you don't want to watch 7 NHL games at the same time you must also hate Canada.

I've already surrendered with these TV networks... cut off my cable and subscribed 1 year to BALL STREAMS!

I'm curious. How many people in here don't have all the TSN and sportsnet channels?

I do, in addition of having ballstreams for out of town games and archives. I figured I'd just pay extra and cut back on other things to balance it out.

Ballstreams should be the answer for all. For $100 it's well worth it.

I exchanged messages with Raptors PR last week and it boils down to this: The networks can't agree on how to split the games between them. Reading between the lines, TSN wants as much as possible, Rogers won't give up some presence. Their shareholder agreement requires them to agree on every issue at the board level, so Larry Tanenbaum can't act as tie-breaker.

If you're a big NBA fan, you only have yourself to blame for counting on Canadian networks to provide decent basketball coverage in this country.

Get ballstreams and you'll never miss a game again.

That's why fans need to add pressure to both networks, by tweeting as much as possible.

Force them to respond to us & work quickly on making a schedule. If they don't think fans care, they will just continue to take their time.

I don't think showing them we care helps, it just suggests the property is more valuable. Shaming them is another story, especially Sportsnet, which wants to hang on to some Raptors' coverage despite its heavy engagement with the NHL.
