0T: CBC Comedy Competition

Post#1 » by cookieman » Tue Oct 21, 2014 7:26 pm

Hey guys, posters on here have been very supportive in the past, so I thought I'd post the link, even if I am mostly a lurker on this board. The winner of this competition gets a pilot on CBC.

Our entry is an action-comedy featuring the lovely Kaitlyn Leeb (three-boobed lady in total recall reboot) and action movie legend Jeff Wincott.

Anyway, please check it out, and if you like it, follow, rate, favourite, etc. Winner will be announced on national tv in December, and fan voting DOES matter.

I'm thinking James Johnson would be a badass villain...

Good luck with the competition!

Have you guys looked into pitching it on Amazon Studios? They're a good distance for third place in the ever growing internet streaming industry behind Netflix and Hulu, but their catalogue is slowly growing, and they cater to open submissions. I gathered a team and pitched a pilot. Unfortunately we were rejected, but it's worth a shot!

We'll definitely take a shot at them. PS4 even producing series now. Thanks for checking it out - certainly not for everyone, but what the hell is?

Just interested in how much it cost you to put that together?

It's just a low budget preview/pitch to the execs at CBC. If the show gets picked up, some money will be put in, resulting in a better storyline, filming, etc.

But, good luck OP. You have a great cast, and cop comedies are always great. & don't forget RealGM when you're at the top.
