Sooo first he said we were gonna be amazed by the rebrand.... and now he's saying he's just involved with a collab line with Mitchell & Ness? The company that just specializes in vintage sports apparel?
Meaning it likely has nothing to do with the rebrand?

how does saying we're going to be amazed by the rebrand equate to him having a heavy hand in it? he obviously got to see it before it was publicized.

A bit defensive are we? Where do i say he has a "heavy hand" in it? Im just looking for clarification in what his role in this is because obviously many different people are having different perceptions here.. & it just seems little backpedal-ish for him to first be enthusiastic about the rebrand & all... and then going with "i had no involvement in the execution here...", rather than validating his support for the rebrand like before the public backlash.

I feel that him not supporting this is telling - just my opinion. I mean, he's the Raptors ambassador so you'd think he'd be all over this logo putting it on his social media sites, etc...

But he hasn't. Even if he didn't have involvement in the logo, you'd expect some comment or recognition, wouldn't you.

It's like the logo came out (likely with his involvement)...he waited for fan reaction.....the response was negative....and he was like "Whoa, better not attach myself to this" and now denies involvement.

Public backlash? I don't know, general board likes it, Raptors board doesn't. Typically, brands do research on this type of thing... wondering if the general Toronto public likes this ?

Sums up Aubrey in a nut shell. If it isn't popular he won't be involved.

Who cares the thing is a fail! What's our colours? We have white, red, black, silver, oh yea sometimes old purple so let's add gold what the heck!

Maybe a green and blue too we have not had them yet. When the logo is small it is just a damn ball. When big yea I can see a claw hit it but I'm a raptors fan. If you are a NBA even you might have to think long and hard about it!
Without the words raptors no one would ever know what this is hell it could be bad sewing on the ball. It could be the earthquakes as the lines on the ball get shaky?!

NYK Classic colours and logo, Boston classic logos and colours, 76ers Classic colour and logo, nets well they did have a rebrand, but just black and white not 4 other alternate colours and the B on the ball give you a hint at least.

Please stick with Claw above ball folks know the logo! If you have to go to gold fine drop some of the others. Maybe go white, black and gold with no more red, purple or silver.
I understand red, black and white are Bulls colours but Unles we are going purple we are not have our colours diffetent.

Like putting your passion, energy, time, and expectations into something other than yourself (i.e., a sports team) is a grown up thing to do in the first place?

So basically Cathal Kelly was out and out lying, suggesting Drake was in on this logo. Great reporting there.
