http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=p9tvlh2

Fields
Hayes
Hansbrough
Ross
Steemer

for
Al Jefferson
Lance
Jeff Taylor

It's like a rental for Al who will probably opt out next year, and Lance is a wildcard, but we will need a reliable low post scorer in the playoffs.

I in no way want any part of Faried. Hes a slightly better re-bounder than Amir and that is all. Amir is much more efficient and a great pick and role/defensive player.

As for Jefferson and Stevenson....Im intrigued.

Lowry/Vasquez

To me there's no point in trading for Lopez seeing as how he'd never be healthy when it matters.

Celtics fan here. Just want some thoughts on this deal:

Bass
Thornton

For :
Fields
Hayes
1 or 2 second round picks.

Not feeling this trade.

First off it doesn't address any of our issues. You also take away not 1, but 2 of our key locker room guys, on top of that you get a pick.

We already have a more versatile Bass (Patterson) and a better scoring Thornton (Lou).

No thanks. Call me crazy, but I think the intangibles that Hayes provides the team outweigh what they're getting back. Thornton would be redundant here with Lou, but I would prefer Bass to Hands. Maybe Tyler and a second for Bass?

Bass makes 6.9 million this season it would have to be Fields and a second for Bass.

What are the odds we can turn Steemer and a second round pick into Cole Aldrich?

I would like to swap T-Ross for Gerald Green.

Gerald Green is playing the best of his career and shoots the 3 as well as Ross in addition to getting to the line.

Severely undervalued for what Green is producing these days.

I mentioned this in the KG thread, but the Raps don't have their 2015, 2016 or 2017 second round picks. So those are out.

I don't see Masai giving up a first round pick for a rental this year. Not for this team. Too many holes to contend. So let's just relax.

I'd just sign him for free in the off-season. I'd pay him 7-9 million easily. He could be our future SF, athleticism, size, and shooting.

If Nate Robinson passes the waivers I would definitely pick him up on the cheap. Trading Vasquez should be a priority especially if it lands a defensive big. Nate probably wouldn't even see minutes here, just use him as a cheap option in case of injury.

to respond to your post from the other thread.

According to NBA.com, Faried ranked 16th in the league last year in offensive rebound rate, 26th in defensive rebound rate and 21st in total rebound rate.

which is good but...

Then there's the matter of defense. Faried's defensive rating of 108.6, according to NBA.com, was the worst of anyone on the Nuggets last year.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1973 ... rebounding

i just think if you replace Amir with Faried, our defense gets much worse. I don't see it solving anything other than rebounding and there are cheaper ways to solve rebounding that going after Farieds contract

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Not for 2 first round picks, but I'm probably in the minority who'd take a long look at MCW. I think a 2nd ball handler in the starting lineup would do wonders for Lowry's amazing play having longevity. I remember Lou talking about how he had to demand Kyle to let him bring the ball up the court just to save Kyle's energy. MCW is another creator and could allow for the starters to have more opportunities. The biggest issue is his horrid shooting percentage which does nothing for floor spacing. With that said I'd look at moving Patman into the starting lineup for Amir to re-add the other floor spacer. This allows us to have a bench featuring Lou, GV, JJ, Ross and Amir. Of course, I haven't accounted for who'd go the other way though.
