Go to the post, or drive and kick + swing.
Or if you have over 10 seconds, run a normal **** play.

Before him you would have to go all the way back to Vince Carter. And he missed the biggest shot in history of this franchise. Organization is a joke. You can't build around Lowry and DeRozan.
Your forgetting Rudy. Rudy was way more clutch than CB4.

He had some big shots. But his shot selection was terrible in general. Would I take him over DeRozan everyday of the week. I really don't think Rudy Gay was the problem. Of course we became a better team when our roster got deeper. But a few off-season signings would have had a similar effect. I still don't think we got enough for Gay. We should have got a first round pick.
I would take Rudy and a better coach any day over DD, let the hate begin...

That's pretty sad.

We have 2 borderline All-stars. This will continue to be our Achilles until we are lucky enough to get a star. I dont blame Lowry. He basically carries us most nights.
But Casey needs to grow a pair & draw up some real plays.

Lowry is our best player, I know that. But every time it comes down to the wire, he tries to play the hero. You see it in the way he plays...He wants to be the hero so badly instead of making the simple play.
Can't blame him though. He' s the best player on the team. We need better talent.

Yeah whatever you say boss. Can we get though a single loss without your clown posts?
Dude makes a thread every time the team loses. What is your deal?
And to top it off Lowry isn't the problem it's Casey.

It's a fair point... however, Lowry is undisputedly our leader and we'd be a lottery team without him. What makes him so good is his bulldog style, by default he wants the ball and he wants to take the last shot. It's up to coaching to rein him in but Casey's freestyle offense gives Lowry the power.
But like I said in another thread, I don't think the problem tonight was offense. It was defense. How does a team with 3 of its top 4 scorers in the disable list, manage to score 100 points? Where is Casey's much vaunted defensive coaching prowess? This is where we are failing.

Lowry said last year that he doesn't like taking those "clutch" shots
Pelicans shot well, but we also forced 17 TO's and didn't give them that many trips to the FT line.
I think defensive issues has been the theme throughout the season and it was something I was concerned about entering the season. I'm just not sure we have the personnel to be a top notch defensive team with the regression of Lowry/Amir(?)/Ross and I highly doubt the defensive system is going to change in the middle of the season.
We're also supposed to be a top offensive team, but we couldn't reach 100 points and shot 41.7 - 21.7 - 71.0...which is not that good. We struggled offensively in our previous game as well and had a few rough offensive games prior to that. So I have to question whether our offense is sustainable, reliable and consistent despite being ranked #2. Are we trending down and does our offensive style work in the playoffs. We don't have a go-to superstar, so doesn't that mean we should be pushing ourselves towards an offense with more ball movement? If we run a high P/R, why can't we feed Amir for a mini-hook or PP for a jumper, especially if the defensive big is sagged back or helping out on Lowry.

It's better to have someone else shoot so Lowry can contribute his true strength which is offensive rebounding.

The bench shot for a combined ~24%. I'm pretty sure both were problems.

I thought the Raps were grooming Lou Williams to be the closer with all the end of quarter Iso's but Casey keeps
on going to Lowry proving Einsteins definition of insanity correct.

I'd rather Casey just run effective plays at the end of quarters/games rather than relying on his players to take ridiculous isolated and contested shots like they're all Kobe Bryant.

I never thought the day would come when even Lowry gets turned on by the fans. Actually disgusted with our fanbase right now
