say what you want about the guys struggles but he owns it. He doesn't run away and he knows he hasn't played as well as he's capable of. He will rebound very soon, just a bump in the road of a great year.

Meh, not I'm not happy with Lowry's play right now but I know he'll turn it around. He's earned the benefit of the doubt. Great player.

This is good, but players always acknowledge when they don't make shots.

What's harder is accepting you shouldn't be taking those shots in the first place.

It's great that Lowry is owning up but I hope he understands the reason why he is trash, it's not because of his poor shooting but more so due to his basketball decisions ie not feeding JV in the post more often and not feeding JJ when he's hot (which is most of the time) when attacking the net.

It should mainly be DD and Casey who should be self aware, I rarely ever hear either of them owning up.

Generally, a PG has to be the most self- and others- aware player on the court. Note Conley's quote in Simmons' trade column. Steve Nash approached the game similarly. Lowry isn't different - he was honestly self-critical after the Lakers loss, the first game after DD went down when he went into hero mode. He adjusted his game, and the team went on a tear.

But now that Lowry's the only 3-ball shooter in the starting line-up, he feels compelled to shoot. The obvious answer - made more obvious by Amir's injuries - move P-Patt to the starting unit. Casey is unbelievably stubborn sometimes.

Lowry's right. I'm just glad he's going through this slump in February. Hopefully he'll pull himself out of it over the next 7 weeks and be back to playing smart basketball come playoff time.
