This kid is going to be a great NBA player... I'm hoping that we have a chance to draft him next year... I think he's going to easily be a top 10 pick, possibly top 5.

It is a good thing for us that he's going to Kentucky... he has a few guys that are going to command the ball, which might help him drop to us. I just hope the Nuggets and the Knicks are both bottom 5 teams next season. There's a decent chance of that happening with the Nuggets in the West... we all know NYK is terrible.

Great kid. Hope he somehow falls to us. He looks small but his measurements are bigger than it seems. I thought he handled himself really well vs the USAs older team. Did they even have any prospects? I was really surprised to see bobby brown especially. Do they really not have anyone better than him? It's amazing how well their d team played. Kudos to their coaching staff

Bad comparison but dangelo Russell (who looked like a bust in summer league) also reminds me of Murray

Might be a better comparison though. Roy was a much better scorer, but Russell has much better pg instincts. Murray can really control the pace of the game.

I love the way Murray finished that game. Sure he still made some mistakes here and there but he's 18. He's got confidence though, Triano trusts him and the team trusts him.

Looking forward to seeing him at Kentucky next year and then in the NBA. Maybe that NY pick lands us Murray if it's not traded.

He's smart, crafty, and maybe more importantly has IT.

I'm sure his draft stock will rise. Especially since he'll most likely have the offense centered around him in Kentucky.

I don't know. Our expectation of what a good basketball players is differs.

That ball hogging display in OT was exactly what I do not expect out a someone who wants to be good in the NBA. It might work in high school and college but it definitely is NOT what you expect out of an NBA player.

People want to call Lou a ball hog and then say that this kid is a great player. The double standard is amazing.

He is freaking 18 years old man, thats what kids his age thinks is good basketball, just wait till he gets into a legit system like UK, he'll learn

Good for the national team. If they can get the guys to understand that standout play in international events (even against USA's "H" team) can raise their stock it'll be great. Easier to get players out on the national team.

Just because someone disagrees with your point of view does not make your point of view any more valid than anyone else's.

It does because I take time to actually watch people whereas "most" watch a five minute Youtube video and start hating,
Assuming that "most other people" only watch a Youtube video and then calling them haters is the height of irony. And then to have someone use the self-same Youtube highlights to proclaim Murray a star gets me smiling.
what gets me smiling is seeing that nobody and1's anything you have said in this conversation. Your points are flawed and lack major substance, it reminds me of shock comedy, just saying something ridiculous to get a reaction... what would make me smile is for you not to post on the Raptors board anymore with moronic comments

Jamal Murray is now 6th on DraftExpress recent mock draft, this kid has it, its not just canadians being homers on this kid... he has the poxy and presence to perform on the big stage. That is not taught its a given ability and attribute.

Rustyman i guess the professional scouts don't see it the same way you do.

He's playing himself eight out of our Knicka/Nuggets pick territory. Damn.

This guy is Eric Gordon post-injury. People might not like that comparison but their games are similar.

Great shooter, great handle, good entry passing, ball dominant.

Eric's numbers from last season were...

13.4PPG / 3.8 ASS / 2.6 RPG / .448 3P%

If Murray ends up being this kind of player I'd be happy. Maybe with a little more heart.
