Strength is only one component on the game. Cant blame the dominance over just it. If Len was so much more talented than Val, that he would be such steal for us on one on one trade, I am sure that such talent would find a way to shine still despite the opponents superior strength.

Anyways, thats a discussion for some other thread cause it should be about M.Morris and not JV vs Len.

We could, but we won't. Right, Masai? Right.

How come JV dominates Len in each of their matchups then? I mean sure JV is one year older but still if Len was such an outstanding talent wouldnt he be able to at least somewhat put up a fight?

Even internationally when they met Val looked like a superior player.

JV has him beat in the strength department, but Len is a far superior rim protector and athlete. Also to get some context on my comment. They would NOT give us Len, a budding prospect to have to sign JV the max the following summer. Do you disagree with me about that?

I wouldn't trust a news site that specializes in korean kitty bands.

If it is "legit", I'm not sure that I'm happy with the trading of James Johnson. Yes Markieff is a good young talent but I always have this hope that James Johnson will put it all together and get things in order. Now, if James Johnson at this point isn't working hard this summer then adios.

I doubt it's real since I didn't see it on realgm or any other major sports sites.

if it happened I'm not sure how I feel.

Yeah just a fans guess. But the trade itself seems like a fairly good trade for all parties

You just have to click the source link to find out it's just a Pelicans fan's idea of a trade: http://www.thebirdwrites.com/2015/8/14/9150113/markieff-morris-raptors-anderson-suns-ross-pelicans-trade-rumor

Again I dont think you can write everything off on just the strength. I mean JV and Len both met when they were youth and both were lean, but Valanciunas played much better defense and offense than Len back then as well.

But yeah if you take into account upcoming Vals contract his value gets pushed back a little.

Part of me wonders if Raps would rather have Ryan Anderson for ourselves instead of Morris... Either way, the only way to make salaries work is trade PatPat or Ross/JJ for Morris.

Is it possible to use trade exception from GV to make salaries match? He pretty much made the same as party.

These are my 2 favorite teams and have been for decades. I've seen every game both teams has played for 3 years. Morris is a much better overall player and will be directly responsible for multiple wins. He plays more like a true starter and often takes control of games. I don't know this for sure but he seems dumb as a brick though. His deep shooting isn't that much worse than Patterson's either. It's good enough to spread the floor.

There was no point in bumping this thread when we just picked up another PF and there's no indications that anything is going on.

Also it's media day and they didn't find a suitable trade partner so if he ever wants one he has to show he can play nice to try to help change public opinion. Its one thing to voice his displeasure and another to show you are completely unprofessional. Pretty basic thing to understand.

I don't think Anthony Bennett has any bearing on the prospect of acquiring Markieff Morris. Also, he may just be acting politically correct like you say but this is a stark contract to what he has been saying. Really diminishes my hope of getting him on the cheap so that's news to me.
