I like how towards the end of Val's interview, he mentions coach Andy (Greer) bringing familiar defensive schemes to him. I am really interested to see how his knowledge is utilized in transforming our defensive schemes.

[quote="Choker"]The way everyone is praising Scola, you'd almost think he's going to be our first option.[/quote

I think Patterson will play less minutes than last year and while he may start a lot of games can see Scola pushing him and hopefully Bennett. Patterson isn't starting quality and nothing in the past indicates he ever will be but he does have value and would be been coming off the bench as a back-up.

Not saying PPat is marginally faster than Ol'Scol, but our perimeter defence will probably suffer if we start Scola with JV.

no idea, ask ballstreams.

Yes, these are, too. In particular, Nuggests @ Clipps is scheduled for tonight. Raps game on Sunday is listed as well.

Powell sounds like a level headed kid, looking forward to seeing what he can bring.

I like how JV always tries to turn a "me" question into a "we" answer

Pat is like a lead assistant who plays. He is going to get playing time just because he knows what others need to do.

The Vancouver game should be on TSN2 iirc.

21. I'm comparatively high on the Knicks. Robin Lopez, Arron Afflalo, Kyle O'Quinn, Kevin Seraphin, these are NBA players. That plus Carmelo Anthony should be good for at least 30 wins in the East. They start low because, well, they're the Knicks, but this team has some potential to have a good season... you know, for it being the Knicks.

oh man..the Knicks have NBA players! we scared now

One forgot to mention that they have no NBA coach, which is somehow important nowadays.

Music to my ears......

Johnson said the team’s schedule is manageable, and that the fatigue would be “easy to fight through.” The biggest challenge, he said, is trying to pack in so many things, like nailing down the team’s new defensive schemes. “They told us what we had to do, the things we were going to go through,” he said, “so it’s pretty easy—but hard at the same time.”

I thought I would be a little nicer half way through the sentence and I guess I forgot to erase the "is".

wonder if any of these guys ever played 5 pin before this. Who knows, if Andrew Bynum would have done 5 pin instead during his rehab in Philly he might still be playing.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Demarre said there is more focus on defence in this training camp than there was in Hawks training camp..... Seems like they are on the right track. Also, nice to hear him say that Vancouver should get an NBA team. :D
