I like how towards the end of Val's interview, he mentions coach Andy (Greer) bringing familiar defensive schemes to him. I am really interested to see how his knowledge is utilized in transforming our defensive schemes.

I think Patterson will play less minutes than last year and while he may start a lot of games can see Scola pushing him and hopefully Bennett. Patterson isn't starting quality and nothing in the past indicates he ever will be but he does have value and would be been coming off the bench as a back-up.

Not saying PPat is marginally faster than Ol'Scol, but our perimeter defence will probably suffer if we start Scola with JV.

Knicks

21. I'm comparatively high on the Knicks. Robin Lopez, Arron Afflalo, Kyle O'Quinn, Kevin Seraphin, these are NBA players. That plus Carmelo Anthony should be good for at least 30 wins in the East. They start low because, well, they're the Knicks, but this team has some potential to have a good season... you know, for it being the Knicks.

Demarre said there is more focus on defence in this training camp than there was in Hawks training camp..... Seems like they are on the right track. Also, nice to hear him say that Vancouver should get an NBA team.
