It very much depends how do you rank. If it is on influence on team's performance as a starter it's one thing. If you rank on +/- it is different animal. JV has good if not excellent stats in 1Q's but disappears in 4Q or any clutch statistics. On the other hand, comparing JV with Timmy is ridiculous. He's pretty good in rim protection but horrible in PnR rotation - how could you rank his defense? So, I would say, decent to good but (so far) nothing stellar hence between top 15 and top 20 (from 30 - lot of space to grow, isn't?).

Noel is the center for Philly and Kanter is coming off the bench for OKC their starter is Steven Adams....

I think you can make the case for these guys above, so 18th at worst, imo. But I'd say around 12-14th

Top 15. Some of those guys on the list are more natural PFs.

Cousins, both Gasols, D12, Al Horford are in the top tier. Then you have purely rebounders and shot blockers like Jordan. JV is not better than all of those type of players but is better rounded so holds his own.

My bad, I was under the impression that Phili would play their shot blocker closer to the rim. After perusing the 76'ers board it seems Okafor is playing the 5.

Let's just subtract any number ranking involving the number 4, from JV. Since Casey doesn't like to associate him with any 4's either

I would say middle of the pack so I went with top 15. I don't think hes a bottom 10 Center but certainly not a top 10.
